Stayed just one night. Upgraded to Executive floor which looked newly remodeled. Basked with Valentines chocolates and strawberries. The lounge is really nice with a good selection and wonderful views. I would def. stay here again and can fully recommend it.

This hotel is away from the centre ,it is 15mins by tram .It is in a quite location but the most disapointment was how expensive it was to use the internet and other services within the hotel.

A beautiful hotel in a great location. There is a great view of Amsterdam from the roof top concierge floor. It is a short trolley ride into the center of the town, which can be crowded. The room was well maintained, the staff very pleasant. The hotel restaurants were very good, though, I did take advantage of Hilton Honors and spend breakfast and evening cocktails on the rooftop floor.

Checkin was fast and friendly and got the usual upgrade to Executive floor.

Room was very nice and fairly spacious.

WIFI was a bit slow, but at least connection was stable. WIFI is not free, but I do not know what is cost, as I got it free being a HH Gold member.

They offer a gym, but this is not part of the hotel. Did not have time to try it.

Breakfast was great meeting all my wishes.

Location of the hotel is not direct downtown. You need to take a taxi or tram in order to get to there.

All in all, very good hotel I for sure would come back to.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2011

We stayed two nights at the hotel on the 8th floor in a king room. I thought the room was very nice, had a good sized bathroom, a nice pillow menu to choose just the right pillow and tea/coffee available. We heard some noise in the hallway from rude guests but otherwise no problem. We really enjoy the Executive Lounge at Hiltons and this one had soft drinks, coffee and fruit available all day. The breakfast was typical style with eggs and meat also available. I only eat yogurt, fruit and sometimes toast for breakfast so it was very adequate. In the evening there was many selections of alcohol available plus a few assorted snacks. The staff was fantastic.

The hotel is a bit off the beaten path but the tram station is very close. We decided to walk into the centrum and back, plus walk around the city, for a total of about 4 1/2 hours of walking. The tram is 2.60 euros and good for one hour if you get off so you can get back on with the same ticket.

If you walk out of the hotel, turn right, then turn right again and go over the small bridge, keep heading straight and you'll come to a couple of restaurants and an Albert Heijm grocery store (a very small one). We ate at the tapas bar on the corner and enjoyed it well enough. We had 3 tapas (calamari, lamb skewers, crepe with spinach), a bowl of soup, a glass of wine and a beer for about 35 euros.
