“Wonderful lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2014 via mobile

We found Lombardo's through the excellent reviews on Trip Advisor, and it made the perfect lunch venue after visiting the Van Gough and Rijkmuseum.

It's a tiny little place and quite nondescript from the outside. But the staff are lovely and we were lucky enough to find 4 spare seats, so we ate inside. There are 2 small benches outside and of course the nearby canals have loads of seating, so you can carry out.

The food is all prepared fresh, and there's a great choice of breads for the sandwiches.

We loved the pulled pork sandwich (YUMMY!!!) and the burger. Not much choice for non meat eaters, but my wife thought the smoked salmon and avocado sandwich was delicious.

They do a nice line in fresh juices which were again freshly made and delicious.

Perfect lunch ...... Thanks very much.

“Best sandwich of my life”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2014

Ok, so when we first found Lombardo's after seeing the tripadvisor reviews, we were told that it was closed for another half an hour due to some work that was been done so we had a nice wait by the canal, came back and still had to wait another 15 mins. However, we were first to be served and I went for the club sandwich which consisted of free range chicken, pancetta, avacado, tomato and mayo on fresh tiger bread and it was AMAZING. The girl that served us was so cute and friendly. We returned the next day and I had a chicken sandwich, the only difference being no pancetta and a choice of mayo (I went for truffle mayo - recommend!) It was yummy once again and was definitely worth the 8 euros I paid for it (pricey but worth it). Recommend dropping by here and getting a sandwich if you're in the area!

“You MUST experience this incredible hospitality--even the burgers were amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2014 via mobile

Yes, the line was long. Yes, we waited awhile only to learn the food would be awhile longer. We couldn't stay but returned the next day to a gracious and warm host at this 3 year old thriving tiny treasure. The owner was very apologetic for the prior days extremely busy day. Everything is very fresh and prepared individually. They have fresh everything, from fruits and salads to all the fixings on burgers. Those that had burgers said it was the best burger they ever had. The goat cheese salad was excellent also. The owner even took time to show us other hidden treasures on a map. We highly recommend this place. And would so take our beloved dogs! Great things come in small packages.

Dear Alyssa,

It was very lovely to meet you and thank you very much for this review. I hope you found Puccini although I later thought they were probably closed on Easter Sunday...still worth a visit if you can get there when they are open.

We hope to see you again soon, all the best!

“Great Burger!”

Great burger and friendly people! Very few seats, but we got a couple to enjoy our burgers. We had the potatoes as well, which were nothing special.
