“Fantastic guide and tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

I found Ms. Loeb's information through Google and set-up a 3 hour walking tour though the Jewish Quarter for my wife and I. She was on time, very nice, well structured and very knowledgeable. We could not have asked for more. She really gave us a depth to the history that we would not have otherwise gotten without a private guide. I highly recommend her.

“Insights on jewish Amsterdam / Holland which we wouldn't otherwise have known”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

My wife and I engaged Jeanette for her 2-hour walking tour when visiting Amsterdam this past week. She was very informative and provided her insights not only with respect to the key points of interest on the tour, but also with respect to the overall history of Amsterdam / The Netherlands both from a jewish and non-jewish perspective. She was able to add her personal perspective to the discussion without making it all about her. She was open to a variety of questions and showed genuine interest in other perspectives as well. The tour was not too short and not too long -- a perfect length of time -- and provided an overall perspective which the standard travel books could not have provided; a most enjoyable way to spend part of an afternoon.

We had an excellent and informative time with Jeanette on this tour. She was wonderful and gave us a great sense of what happened through history to the Jews of Amsterdam. The walking tour brought us back in time and also a look ahead at the survival of the Jews in Holland. The most touching comment was that all who survived in Holland after WW2 through today are all Holocaust survivors. It is something that we dont feel living in USA and sometimes forget. I would recommend her highly

Dear Mr. Nash, thank you very much for your kind words in your recommendation. I am touched by your last words about your awareness of the European Jews being all survivors or childern of survivors. thank you and kind regards, Jeanette Loeb

It easy to see why this tour is #1 on Tripadvisor. Excellent and informative. It includes both WWII and Jewish information along with much more information about Amsterdam's history.

“"Jeanette Loeb's private walking tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2012

Jeanette led a private tour for two American couples--one Jewish, one not, in early May, 2012. All four of us agreed that we would never have found many of the special elements she led us to--the moving sculpture of the violinist breaking through the floor, for instance--and her personal perspective on events of the 20th century made our afternoon with her very, very special. No "off-the-rack" tour could ever come close to what she does so well. Our tour with Jeanette was a real highlight of our two weeks in the Netherlands.
