“Great, comfortable hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

This hotel was an excellent choice.
The hotel is brand new. They opened on August 2012 and all the facilities are new. The room itself is not big, but they made an excellent use of the room size to furnish it, and the result is a very comfortable room with comfortable bathroom.
They offered a much more affordable rate per night then the hotels in the city center. This rate included breakfast and free wi-fi. So even though I didn't stay in the city center, I had a very pleasant stay
The tram no. 13 is right next to the hotel, and it would take you to the city center in no time.
The breakfast buffet is huge and varied, and you can eat your breakfast watching the city (as their restaurant is on the 17th floor).
The people at reception were very helpful, and this hotel offers a 5 Euro shuttle to the airport and from the airport, which is very convenient.
Overall a very nice stay and I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here while visiting the lovely Amsterdam.

Room Tip: My room was right next to the elevators but I didn't hear a sound, because there are sliding doo...

Got this trip for my boyfriend as a birthday gift...best money I've ever spent!!upon arrival we got the shuttle supplied by hotel to and from airport (book this for return to airport in advance, or it can be fully booked) ...driver and hotel staff were extremely friendly and offered advise on where to visit etc...location is about 10 mins on tram (no.13) which passes every few mins, and runs til around midnight, we would recommend 24hr pass €7.50 which u can use all day in and out as many times as you want. We were on 2nd floor and our room was very modern and adequate facilities considering all the time you spend in room...as for the view, you travel to 17th floor and u have the best view in Amsterdam :-) very lively bar in evening with great atmosphere!! Will definitely return to hotel and will recommend to anyone!!! When in city centre ATMs can be a bit sparse which is a bit of a pain, but that is the only thing I can really say bad about our whole trip.

We got a great deal on this hotel and it wasn't too far from the centre so we decided to book up for 3 nights. The shuttle bus from the airport was excellent and the driver was very friendly. Upon arrival we were asked to pay 50 euro per night up front without notice either on a credit card or cash. Being young, we had to pay cash which took away most of our spending money! I think they should have warned us beforehand!! On the website, all the spoke about was having a great view from every room. We were stuck on the 1st floor - out of 16, with a view of the car park. Very disappointing! The room was very very small, no milk or sugar for tea facilites and we nearly flooded the bathroom because the shower is very small. You can't have the shower on for more than 5 minutes without it overflowing into the rest of the room. Not much use of the "power shower". It was very modern, the bed was comfy enough and the tv was great with english channels. No pillows in the room, only small white cushions we were made to use - fair to say we did not get a good night sleep at all. The reception staff were a little bit rude, answering the telephone in the middle of your conversation and speaking to other guests who were waiting behind me! The hotel itself is nice and the location is pretty good, quite a quiet area which was good. I probably wouldn't stay here again, im sure i can get a cheaper 3 star hotel which is just as nice, and wont reccommend to anyone.

Room Tip: Really push for a room on the higher levels, our view was worthless!

I booked this hotel for my boyfriend and I and was a bit anxious after I read some of the reviews, but how this hotel has ANY bad reviews is beyond me! All staff were very helpful and friendly, always making conversation with us and trying to provide the best service they could. The room was very modern, comfortable and colourful - we loved it.
Breakfast was served as a buffet and the amount of choice available was unreal, and all at an extremely high qulaity.
Although the hotel is situated outside of the center, the tram stop is conveniently located across the road and is so easy to get to the center.
It also provides free wifi which can be accessed from everywherein the hotel - brilliant and super fast!
All in all, my boyfriend and I were thoroughly impressed, best hotel we've stayed in! Thank you Ramada Apollo Team! :)

Room Tip: Rooms from all sides have good views of Amsterdam and it's skyline, although the best views are...

A lovely hotel with good access to the town.... Just 15 minutes on the tram which is right by the hotel. Great rooms, and friendly helpful staff. Classy skybar with views over the hole city. Would stay again when visiting Amsterdam.

The hotel had only been open for a few weeks - the entrance still under construction! The rooms are very glamourous with spectacular views on the higher floors - there are 17 - but certainly compact. Every instruction was via the TV, but it was all in Dutch. There are no products supplied for the bathroom other than wall mounted soap dispensers which I thought a bit down-market. Food and drink is expensive but reasonably priced accomodation.

Room Tip: High as you can!
