Recently spent a night at the Bilderberg Garden Hotel and found it to be a comfortable, if not memorable experience.

The out-of-centre location is quiet and relaxing, with very little of the general rowdiness that Amsterdam can contain. The tram service stops nearby, however and it's a quick journey into town.

The staff were pleasant and the rooms clean - but it was all quite bland. Apart from the expensive wi-fi, nothing really sticks out in my mind about the hotel, and in some respects that's a good thing..but if you're looking for a memorable stay, this probably isn't the property for you. If you're looking for peaceful, then it might be more suitable. However, it's expensive for something so neutral.

Booked the hotel in the internet at very reasonable rates but we were afraid of what we would find after some recent reviews. Neither we, nor the friends we were travelling with could find a single fault. The staff were extremly friendly and helpful and the rooms a delight to stay in. ItThe hotle lived up to its five star rating in every way.

I Stayed in this hotel last noverber as a weekend away. Got a good deal over the internet & was happy to hear it was 5*. On arrival in amsterdam city we got a cab to the hotel which cost us €30 which i thought was a bit much seen as hotel isn't that far from city.
Check in went smoothly but when we went into our room we noticed the bed was to single beds pushed together & would move apart if sat on. I went back down to repection where a manager (who hadn't a clue what he was doing)told me the hotel was full and then apoligised & suddenly an executive suite just became available. We jumped at the chance only later to be told it would be an extra €50?In the Exuective suites we were told there would be a jacuzzi. Don't be fooled the Jacuzzi was a very very small bath

This was the only problem i had with this hotel.The rest of my stay was wonderful.But would not stay in the bilderberg hotel.Definetly not 5*

As a former regular client of the Bilderberg Garden Hotel (I stay here 4 to 8 times a year), I am saddened to announce its fatal decline.

This hotel has become a nightmare for its guests, combining shoddy housekeeping, poor maintenance and inferior service, with an unresponsive and irresponsible management.

Don't wast you money on this hotel, at any price! There are many fine hotels in Amsterdam that are worthy of your patronage. The Bilderberg Garden Hotel is NO longer one of them.

This hotel is located in a quieter more residential area of Amsterdam, but it is close (walking distance) to the Rijks and Van Gogh museums. There's parking (a relatively rare commodity in city center Amsterdam), the design is modern and spacious, and the service is good. FYI -- the hotel has a sister property closer to the museum area (but no parking).
