“Good restaurant ”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

The position is not very confortable (quite far from the city centre) but rooms are beautiful and large. Breakfast of good quality and employes at reception are kind (exept when they have to answer the phone while you are checking in or out). I suggest the restaurant: high quality at right price. I don't know where they came up with these ratings. It's a nice hotel, in a quiet part of Amsterdam. Convenient to two different tram lines. Great, friendly, English-speaking staff. But the air conditioning was impossibly inadequate (I wound up changing rooms halfway through my stay to get a room where I could open the window for some ventilation). The Wi-Fi makes you go through an absurd six-step authentication dance every couple of hours (even if you pick the "48 hour connection" option). A bucket of ice to your room costs five euros. An empty water bottle sat in the hallway outside my room for two days. Etc etc. For the price, I can't complain, but it's a three-star in my book.

Lovely hotel. Spotlessly clean. Excellent level of service from all staff. The daily supply of apples and bottled water was a nice touch. Lovely quiet residential suburb which felt very safe to walk back to at night from the tram stop. Only a 10-15 min tram ride into the city centre. Would stay here again if in Amsterdam and would recommend to friends. We didn't eat in the hotel, because we were out very early in the morning and back late at night, so unable to rate the food.

Room Tip: The aircon was a bit noisy so we opened the window instead.

Stayed here with a group of people. Staff were first class, helping out with quite a few issues with charm and efficiency. Rooms were very comfortable with all amenities. Only down side (which stops this getting 5 stars) was the traffic noise. Although double glazing was fitted, an upgrade would make such a difference.

My girlfriend and myself visited Amsterdam in March 2015, and we saw this hotel on a expedia's hotel website. The price was excellent value for money, so we went ahead to book the hotel for 3 night.

Upon arrival into Amsterdam, we decided to walk to the hotel from Amsterdam Central (do not recommend!!) but once we found the hotel, we were pleasantly surprised at how nice the surrounding areas were of the hotel. Although the hotel is situated about 25minute walk from the main Amsterdam Strip, it was probably worth it due to location and calmness of the area.

When we checked in, the hotel staff were extremely friendly, and couldn't do enough for us. They explained all the services that the hotel offers including bike rental, and internet usage, and presented us with a map that she highlighted certain areas for us that would be "Points of Interest" for tourists.

When we arrived into our room, we had complementary drinks and also had free fruit. The room was a nice size, with a king sized bed, a desk and chair, a table with 2 comfy chairs and a nice bathroom. The cleanliness of the hotel was as expected.

Nice little touches included free fruit in the reception area, free internet usage and printing facilities and also having the ability to rent bikes from the hotel, with hotel insurance (although at a cost). The hotel staff even drew us a map of where the local super market was so we could buy some wine and beer!

The tram into the centre was a 5 minute walk away from the hotel, over the canal, and cost €12 for a day pass, or roughly €3.75 for a single journey. Trams ran every 10 minutes or so, and there are numerous numbers of trams that you can jump on and off into the centre, or other places of interest. You can buy tram tickets at the hotel reception which saves a lot of bother! (BUT PLEASE REMEMBER TO TAP IN AND OUT OF THE TRAM EVERY TIME YOU USE IT, OR YOU CAN BE FINED!!)

I would immediately return to this hotel if I was to visit Amsterdam again! Couldn't recommend it anymore!

Room Tip: All rooms have a nice view! The basic rooms don't include a free mini bar, but the more expensiv...

The hotel has an excellent and quite location, ideal environment, helpful personnel. The breakfast is abundant. The only recommendation could be to enlarge the offer of TV programs, including a wider choice of programs and languages, including Russian, French, Italian and Spanish.

I booked this hotel after staying at a three star which was terrible. The hotel looks good on the outside, in the inside it's clean but very average. Our room wasn't cleaned despite us asking for it to be. Also my credit card was stolen from my room, I know I should have used the safe but I was in a rush and thought it would be safe in a five star hotel. Also management were rude and unhelpful, I wasted half my holiday reporting it to the police. I still haven't been refunded the insurance fee yet.
