“Convenient to transfer to the airport without going to the Central Station.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

The hotel is a short tram ride to Amsterdam Zuid station, so you can avoid going into the main Central Station when transferring to and from the airport. Another option is taxi, which is good value for many if you're travelling in a group. The hotel staff is extremely helpful. The reception area is spacious and has a bar which serves a good selection of hot food. We used the convention centre, with its large and well light rooms. Breakfast and lunch were very good. The room is large and comfortable. The mattress was firm and sleep quality was excellent. Bathroom is of very good standard. All facilities were well cleaned. I didn't use the television. The hotel location is excellent to walk to the main museums and to the Vondelpark. The city centre is a short tram ride away - or a pleasant walk. The hotel has wi-fi internet access throughout and also wired access in the room. I was very pleased with the stay and I'm happy to recommend the Bilderberg Garden Hotel to fellow travellers, not only for business.

Just spent a winter weekend at this hotel and would definitely recommend itl to anyone a sit is a real find! We were unsure if it would be too far from the centre but it is close to the tram stop and so no problem! It is a lovely friendly and spacious hotel with superb breakfast facilities. The rooms are a good size for a city hotel with lovely linens on the beds. Would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Room Tip: Lovely location - very quiet

The main issue is that do not believe that you are going to a 5 star hotel when you book here. The location is a nice quiet residential area with some nice shopping and parks nearby and easy walking distance to city centre.
Problem with the hotel is that it is not really 5 star and probably nearer 3 star. Staff are generally unhelpful, never offer service unless you approach them. Breakfast is below standard with eggs not replenished often, bread choice pretty average and not good quality, no fresh juice etc
Rooms are nice and good size.

It was cold in Amsterdam. Temperature during the day around 5 C. The hotel was near a small commercial area. Seemed far because it was cold. It is in a local upscale residential district not a touristy place. Nice cute boutique hotel. Dutch clean and crisp. The rooms were ample. The toilet spotless. Good bath amenities. Wanted the bathrobe. Great after shower comfort blanket. Free coffee and tea in the room. You get a daily apple which I tried once. Sour and thick skinned! Only one restaurant which served a single set menu during the day. A let down to some. Pretty decent gourmet food though! Breakfast buffet, discounted if you book the night before. Good price and suitable. Hotel was quaint not rustic and had a good feel.

Just spent a weekend in this beautiful hotel in Amsterdam. The hotel is clean and beautiful. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is less than 100 metres from the the nearest tram stop which will take you down to the centre of town in 15 minutes.

At the hotel bar they have complimentary snacks in the evening, but beware the food in the restaurant. Although it is delicious, breakfast will set you back €22.50 per person. It is not that good :). Rather head downtown to eat at one of the multitude of restaurants.

A very clean and modern hotel with a reasonable selection for breakfast. Within easy walking distance of the Vondelpark, Olympic Stadium and a couple of shoppings areas to the south of the main centre.

Went to Amsterdam mid October for long weekend - Was very happy with the flight as only took 40 minutes (takes longer to get to Center of London) first time of just hand luggage (scary). Arrived to hotel via special buses (but found out after only a couple of extra euro's and could have driven straight there in Taxi). Registering was very simple and pleasant front desk. Room was Executive and was ok but not special. Overall the hotel and staff were very helpful. Only downside was that they were unable to change Travellers Cheque's which suprised me, so had to find a bank to do this. Overall the city break was good and although I have been to Amsterdam before found more different things to do which is always nice.
