“Nice hotel, great service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013 via mobile

I was in Amsterdam for a short business trip and stayed at Sebastian's for only one night. Great location in the heart of the city. They did a fine job with the interior design too. But what struck me the most was the friendly personnel. It was very busy at the reception when I arrived, but the beautiful blonde girl behind the desk kept it together with a wink and a smile. They can arrange for pretty much anything you need. Food, transportation, a city guide or just some conversation. Great service! The room was very clean and had a beautiful view of the Keizersgracht canal. It's not the cheapest deal, but well worth the extra money. In short: Sebastian's Hotel is a very nice place to stay when you're visiting Amsterdam.

This hotel is absolutely a favorite with its quiet location, stellar service and splash of colorful charm. The service was outstanding, and apparently reflects the desire of the owners to insure all their guests are treated as VIPs. For example, there was ample staff at the front desk to ask and get recommendations for dining, entertainment options and museums, and we were never lead astray. That same level of attentiveness is also present at their other property, The Toren, just down the street which is considered a higher priced location. Our hotel was undergoing some noticeable renovations during our stay which will only add to its functionality for future guests, most noticeable during our stay was an upgrade to the elevator system. Due to the fact that one member of our party had recent knee surgery (we were on the third floor), the lack of the elevator was a problem, but the staff made arrangements to provide us lodging at their sister hotel down the street at no additional charge for our remaining nights there.

Room Tip: While rooms that provide a view of the canal are nice, they are also a bit more noisy due to the str...

Lovely hotel in a great location. Very friendly and honest staff who made our stay very special. The room was very stylish, comfortable and clean with a great view over the canal. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Myself and my husband chose Sebastian's for my 40th birthday trip as we wanted to stay in the Jordaan area. The hotel did not disappoint. We chose a room with canal view and it was a stunning view. It was so picturesque watching the boats and bicycles go by. The staff were very helpful and even kep the bar open to the wee small hours for us and some new pals we made on our stay!!

A great hotel, I'd highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Canal view rooms are more expensive but the view is most definitely worth it.

Excellent staff. The hotel should run a course in customer service because this hotel provides possibly the best customer experience I have ever received. Thanks to all the staff for making the stay so special.
Hotel is on beautiful quite street along the canal. Room was faultless, spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable.
Breakfast was all that could be needed. Continental plus scrambled eggs, mushrooms, bacon and sausage options.
Location was within walking distance of all the main attractions and only a short walk from central station but a location slightly further south in the city might have suited us better. Main Museum like Rijks and entertainment area like Leidseplein all a bit long walk.
