“Unbelievable service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2012

The best service we've ever had. From the moment we got there they took care of everything. They talked us through a map, told us where to go for great food and to see a quieter, less touristy Amsterdam. They purchased advanced tickets for us for museums, rented us bikes, even gave us cash to take to restaurants then billed it to the room. They were always friendly and helpful and wanted to make sure their recommendations were still good. Totally gay friendly (like most of the city).

Location is great -- in a quiet part of the city but a 10 minute walk from Amsterdam Centraal Train Station and all the tram lines, and close to Jordan.

The decor is also something -- a sort of Euro-Glam-Goth that definitely suits Amsterdam. Our room had a beautiful view of the Keizersgracht Canal through two huge windows that opened and could be screened if needed. Definitely recommend spending the money for the canal view, it really made for a romantic trip.

Room Tip: Definitely spend the money and get a room with a view of the canal. Go to hotels.nl to book in advan...

what can i say about this Hotel. had left it to the last minute to book accommodation and found it through Hotels.com. had booked a room for three people and received an email back soon after asking what sleeping arrangements were. we arrived at the hotel and the staff were so helpful. the room was amazing it warrants at least a 4 star rating! very quiet. we were in amsterdam all the next day as we had a late flight and the staff kindly let us place our luggage behind reception. will definitely be staying here again! top notch

Everything about this hotel is just perfect. My partner and I stayed for two nights for his 30th. On arrival they upgraded us and had a bottle of champagne on ice in the room. all free of charge and compliments from the hotel. All the staff in the hotel we had contact with were very friendly and extremely helpful, nothing seemed to be too much trouble. the location is very good, 10 min stroll to all major bar/restaurant areas . Would highly recommend this hotel!

Stayed 3 nights in the canal view room on the first floor. We walked all the way from Centraal station to the hotel in about 15 minutes. Location is great, very near Dam square, Haarlemmerstraat/dijk, canal district, Jordaan and the little 9 streets. Famous restaurants/cafes/shops everywhere nearby but yet it is still peaceful and quiet. Very relaxing.

The room is just right for the 2 of us with a comfy bed but the size could do better. Nespresso coffee machine with a whole box of coffee to choose/drink; ipod dock; alarm; tv; small fridge with drinks/snacks and safe box.

The front desk provides guide map and friendly service.
One day we put a do not disturb sign at the door, when we came back there was a laundry bag full of fresh towels, toiletries & toilet roll hanging on the door knob!
Highly recommended. Love it!

note to HS: Maybe some improvement on the shower area

Sebastian's hotel is a very nice little hotel- rooms are a bit small but very well fitted out ours had a great view out to a canal.

Its well located a short distance to most sights in Amsterdam and only a 10-15min walk to central station.

Would definitely recommend to others.

Room Tip: We were on the second floor overlooking the canal out the front and it was really nice.
