“Impressive and quirky hotel.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012 via mobile

I stayed here for two nights in mid September 2012. Its a beautifully furnished and uber stylish hotel set on a well used road close to lots of shops and cafes. The Manor Hotel has a impressive and luxury feel. My room was the stiletto shoe room (I will add pics) and had a great central view from the balcony. The bed was very comfortable and although it was cold at night - the duvet was chunky and padded enough to keep me pleasantly warm. The TV has around 9 channels and obviously there is a kettle, safe, power shower and mini fridge, hairdryer, info packs and a trouser stand. There's everything you would expect from Dutch 5 star in the Ajax themed hotel. The only thing I would mildly moan about is that the tax you pay for your stay (payable by everyone) is added at the end of your stay when you check out. It was around €8.50 for two nights. Left luggage was available to me for 2hours after I checked out too which is brilliant! The tram stops are situated right outside and taxis come to reception often - its around €16 to get to Central Dam by taxi and €2.75ish for an hour return tram ticket. There are speciality food shops and cafes dotted all around the hotel and a zoo is just a few stops on the tram.
The Manor's bar was lovely. Cool decor and a huge range of whiskeys and beverages. It was all extremely stylish and uber ergonomic. The staff were lovely, friendly and informative. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel and although I return to Amsterdam in a few weeks and will stay at The Exchange Hotel, I will positively return to The Manor Hotel next year. Any Q's please ask. Amsterdam is an amazing place - book early for flights and especially your hotel for noticeable price differences. Well done The Manor Hotel for a stylish and quirky place to stay.

Stayed for 3 nights on a trip with my wife. 10 mins on the tram, which leaves from outside the front door, to get to the centre of Amsterdam. Quiet location, right beside the Oosterpark was perfect.

The room was clean and modern and the staff were friendly, helpful and pleasant.

All in all, a great stay with no complaints at all. Would go back again on our next trip.

I stayed here for about 7 days back in March and it was very clean and modern at a very good price (about $90 a night). Close to the train station to get into town and several local restaurants within walking distance. No laundry at hotel but there is a place across the street that is pretty cheap so use that for extended stays.

I stayed seven nights at the Manor during a business trip to Amsterdam. The building originally housed a hospital, but this historic fact is hard to notice unless you know it. In any case, the transition into a hotel has been a successful move.

The first thing that struck me in my room (204), was a large photo wallpaper featuring a lady in a big hat. A nice touch that added an urban feel to the room! The double bed was comfy, and I slept very well during my week-long stay. Even though my room faced the street, I was never bothered with any noise.

The bathroom was nice and clean - the only thing I missed was floor heating. A small bathtub wouldn't have hurt, either.

I had the pleasure of eating breakfast in the restaurant every morning, and it was great! Smoked salmon, Italian ham, roast beef and scrambled eggs are some of the highlights. Luckily, I managed to keep clear of the big bowl of freshly baked croissants. Well, almost.

Bottom line: The Manor Hotel is modern, comfortable and clean. Definitely my new favorite place stay in Amsterdam!

Straightforward hotel. Very clean. Comfy beds. Quite central.

Was here for business for two nights. Slept weill both nights because the environs of the place made meso relaxed.

Great breakfasts, very well stocked bar too.

ONly minor gripe was that they advertise a minibar on the website but that in actual fact it is just a fridge in the room.
And there's no gym.

What a find .my husband and i booked 6 nights delux room and we were up graded to junior suite which was fab. huge room overlooking garden and the bathroom was also fabulous.
we caught the no 9 tram everyday to get around and great idea to get chip-card .
the staff were so polite and helpful and the rooms kept spotless clean. we had a great time at this hotel and would recommend it .it certainly has the WOW factor although just out of tourist band worth it and the tram ride afforded you a tour into centre each time
we took bus to Edam and Volendam both great to walk around and Haarlam too.enjoy this hotel we did

A friend and I stayed at this hotel through a Groupon voucher, and it wildly surpassed our expectations. The staff is attentive and friendly, and the property is freshly renovated with all modern amenities. We loved our room, which had huge floor-to-ceiling windows, but also came with very thick curtains that could close up the space like a cozy cave for perfect sleeping conditions. The bathroom was large and well appointed, especially the shower with a proper shower head and large bathtub.

The hotel is located a mere 10-minute tram ride to the city center, with the #9 tram stop right out front of the property. There is a great city park (Oosterpark) adjacent to the property, with the Tropical Museum (Tropenmuseum) only a few steps beyond that.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again!
