“Excellent Hotel.”

If you're looking for a smart, modern and friendly hotel in Amsterdam, look no further.

Upon arrival we were told that our room wouldn't be ready for another hour and a half. We dropped our luggage off and headed to The SkyLounge with our cookies. The SkyLounge is everything I imagined it to be; gorgeous cocktails, amazing views and excellent atmosphere. We were having such a good time in The SkyLounge, our rooms had been ready for an hour.

The room (Queen Hilton Guest Room) was clean with a small but well equipped bathroom.

We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, but the Starbucks made up for that.

All the staff were very friendly, the bars were excellent and the Hotel was very close to the train station and the centre of Amsterdam; but far enough away to have a relaxing oasis to return to. Within a week of returning, we booked to visit Amsterdam in August, staying at The Doubletree but this time in the King one bedroom master suite with terrace! :)

booked executive room, good location no sleep night one due to live music in sky bar. No free newspapers were delivered. We were disturbed prior to departure because we did not specify we were availing of late check out

Thank you very much for sharing your feedback, it is greatly appreciated by us as it enables us to improve our services where possible. My sincere apologies about the music in the SkyLounge. We are working on the soundproofing of the SkyLounge for a while already, trying to isolate the rooms that are close to the SkyLounge and the SkyLounge itself. I do hope you have had a good stay here and if you would consider our hotel again please inform us, so we assure you will not be bothered by the music of the SkyLounge again. Thanks again for sharing your feedback.

Great stay, centrally located, friendly staff, comfortable rooms. We took a cab in from the airport even though this property is locate right next to the Main train station. Plenty of things to do an eat right within the complex. sky lounge is a must day or night.

Walk across the bridge, and you are in the heart of Old Amsterdam. Watch the many bicyclist, scooters and trams and get lost in this wonderful city. My next visit I will stay same place.

Having travelled to many different countries and stayed with many different hotels with work, I have to say I am a little picky when I'm travelling on my own purse!
Despite there being a lengthy delay on check in, an issue with our first room and then a mix up by the hotel with the bookings I made (2 bookings due to using points on one; cash on the other) which meant not only were we locked out of our room on day 2, but I was made to pay part-way through our stay... I'm still giving this hotel an excellent rating.
Why? Mostly due to the fantastic service received whilst staying with them and also the great way they went about trying to resolve the issues that came up during our stay. The 2 female managers / duty managers we encountered are a credit to the hotel. Fantastic at resolving our issues and going out of their way to fix them.
Room itself was great - a junior suite with a great view. Breakfast in the exec lounge was more than sufficient for setting us up for the day.
Treats each evening in the exec lounge were also of a high standard - and the area was well maintained by the staff on duty. Shame a few greedy non-exec lounge patrons were sneaking in and out to take treats for themselves....
Gym was adequate for what we needed during our stay.
Food in the bar downstairs was tasty & of a good standard.
Starbucks in the lobby was handy.
Sky lounge was one of the best I've been in! Great buzz, great service and fantastic cocktails.
Was sad to check out...
So despite the couple of issues we had, I would love to return to this hotel in the future.

Room Tip: Pay the little bit extra and go for an exec room or junior suite - well worth it!

We had a room on the 9th floor with a view of the harbour and all it's traffic. The room and bathroom were a little small but spotlessly clean and comfortable, and good to have tea making facilities to have a cuppa with the warm cookie! Even better is the breakfast buffet, with a huge selection to suit every taste. All the staff are pleasant and helpful and give the impression that they actually enjoy their work. We would certainly book here again.

Located right next to Centraal Station, and a short 5 minute walk to where the "action" is in Amsterdam, but far enough away from the mayhem to offer a bit or respite. Its very clean, well maintained (a relatively new hotel) and the rooms comfortable, quiet (despite train station next door) with air con. Good shower but would have liked a bath to soak in. First warm sunny day of the year when I arrived so rooftop bar was busy; worth a look. Got a free upgrade to a junior suite; two rooms with access to the Exec lounge offering free drinks and nibbles (not missing much if you can't get in).

Hotels in Amsterdam aren't cheap, and had to book a long time in advance to get anything vaguely like a decent price but even then cost a fair amount. Cheekily was asked for 40 Euros if I wanted to get in my room an hour earlier (even though it was ready) but weirdly offered free late checkout 'til about 2pm. Not sure what that was all about.

With a decent deal I'd stay again; made to feel welcome and apart from the early check in charge couldn't find fault.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking water/town unless you're a train spotter.

Thank you for your feedback! We do ask a priority cleaning charge when guests would like to check in before 15:00, because we have to schedule more staff to clean all priority rooms. Hopefully this explains the situation.

Great location, easy to get around. The staff are really helpful. Let us check out at 2pm instead of 12. Lovely choc heart delivered to our room for my birthday :0). Rooms include toiletries, fridge, hairdryer, slippers, dressing gown, deposit Box etc. Stored our luggage free (we were flying late). Would definately recommend!
