I always say, you have cinemas and you have Tuschinski. The reason for that is that there is actually no cinema that can be compared to the atmosphere and ambiance that is Tuschinski.
It brings back to you the memories of your childhood when going to the cinema was having a great night out. You enter through a huge lobby which is decorated in the way it used to be and once you enter theater 1 your mouth will drop to the floor, it is beautiful and huge.
It really is an experience that you have to see for yourself when you go visit the Netherlands and you want to go see a movie. (just make sure you pick a movie that is playing in theater 1 because the other ones are not in the style of the building)
Sure the screen is not so big and the sound is for the standard of today outdated but when you visit Tuschinski you don't mind that, because it is Tuschinski and you forgive the old lady for that minor detail.
