“Beautiful Canal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2013

Great area to walk up and down filled with wonderful small shops and restaurants. It begins the are of 9 Streets which should not be missed. Each time you walk one of the streets, you noticed something you missed the first time.

“Prinsengracht - The grandest Canal among others.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2013

It is on good location near Ann Frank House, Houseboat Museum, Tulip Museum, Cheese Museum and West Church. Enjoy the boat trip or just a mere walking along the canals. A lot of bicycles parked everywhere, a lot of people just strolling around. There are lots of boathouses, canal houses, shops and coffee shops.

On some occasions, this is a place where they held a concert, or any special occasion where people meet and celebrate.

This is the grandest canal among others and it has historical value in Amsterdam where it served as way of transportation. Yes, it is old but it serves a purpose.

Recommended to see and visit with out spending a penny.

“Beautiful canal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2013

We did an hours touring up and down the canal in a rented boat. Being so low in the water you get to look up high at the architecture towering over you. If it wasn't for me being with a load of drunk lads on a stag party then it would have been a bit more romantic!

“Urban nature”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2013

A gracious gesture of space & scale - conducive to slow walking and contemplation. The many small details - historic canal houses, barges, boutique hotels and shops - best experienced by foot. Find an open bench and let the world unfold around you.
