“Carming, charming, charming!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2014

We rented an apartment in The Jordaan for a week and enjoyed every bit of it! It is such a lively place and can be explored endlessly. We bough breakfast for a baker across the street and it was such a simple pleasure! I remember walking into an old-fashioned corner candy store and was taken back to my childhood! Young school kids were flocking into it and choosing from jars and jars of different candy stacked high to the ceiling! The whole area is charming and full of surprises like this.

“Exemplary Look of Amsterdam”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2014

This area is exemplary look of Amsterdam. Trees lining along the canal and Dutch-style houses, cobbled streets crisscrossing narrow alleys, and a lot of design boutiques, cafes and restaurants. Quiet yet lively and fun in its own way.

“Great for wandering”

Fantastic district of Amsterdam if you're there to soak up the architecture and atmosphere. Lovely old houses, beautiful canals and lots of interesting places to dip in and out of.

“The best experience in Amsterdam”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2014

Walking through this neighborhood is an endless pleasure ... a huge variety of amazing houses , art galleries, small 'brown' bars and, last but not least, ....... a sweet honey stroopwafel at a bakery facing a canal.
Don’t miss a walk in the “nine streets” district, one of the city’s most picturesque shopping areas!

“Lovely Neighborhood”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

Lovely neighborhood to stroll though and find a cafe to enjoy a meal. Within a short walk from the Anne Frank House. We found a grocery store here - Jumbo. A great grocery store if you are looking for snacks or food cheaper than what you can find in convenience stores. Also a nice selection of Danish snacks to take home for gifts. Great pricing on Stroopwaffles (8 individually wrapped for Euro 1.75).
