As you would expect from a NH Hotel, everything is up to perfection. The location is superb, not only in terms of getting to the airport but also because the Dam, with its nearby restaurants and souvenir shops is 5 minutes away. Anne Frank's house is 20 minutes away. Not surprisingly, my room was upgraded when I checked in. I was given an absolutely massive room with astonishing views to the Centraalstation. Just to give you an idea, there were two levels in this room: one for the bathroom and the upper one for the bed, desk, tv, etc. The reason why I aforesaid not surprisingly is because at NH they always find a way to please you. Breakfast is well worth it. For 20 euros you get a combination of breads, homemade cakes, a variety of cheese, ham and butter, fruit, different natural juices, the regular coffee and milk and, last but not the least, champagne (not sparkling wine, I mean real champagne). You can have a all bottle of bubbly for breakfast if you're in the mood. I had a huge breakfast during my stay and ended up no having lunch at all.
It's a shame I can only rate this hotel as excellent because it is certainly a lot more than that.
