Owner description: The Royal Concertgebouw is one of the world's most famous concert halls renowned for its exceptional acoustics. With 700 concerts a year the Concertgebouw offers a varied programme featuring leading international musicians, orchestras, and conductors. The hall functions as a home base for the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, one of the very best orchestras in the world. Time and time again, critics have lauded its unique sound, which clearly stands out among thousands of others. Behind-the-scenes tours provide a look into the concert hall's rich history. There are scheduled tours three times a week and for groups available on request. From September to June at 12:30pm. Every Wednesday, there is a free 30 minute concert in the Concertgebouw. Due to the popularity of these concerts it is recommended to arrive at least 45min before the concert.

A world-class orchestra, moderately priced tickets, and a free drink before the concert and at the intermission!

“Beautiful concert hall, excellent sound”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2014

It was my first visit here to the Concertgebouw for the Tori Amos tour and what a gorgeous building. Inside was also beautifully detailed and not as big as I had expected. The acoustics are superb and I can see why people say this is one of the best concert halls in the world.

“A classic hall”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2014

To attend a concert here is a special treat. First, the acoustic, which must be one of the best in Europe, alongside the concert hall in Gothenburg and Symphony Hall in Birmingham. The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra is justly famous and will not disappoint. The physical environment is charming and a nice touch is that patrons are offered a free drink before the concert, or in the interval. If you like classical music, don't miss a concert here. Tickets can be bought on-line.

“One of the most beautiful concerthalls in the world”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2014

The acoustic quality of this concerthall is beyond criticism, but also its regular orchestra, the Royal Concertgebouworkest (KCO) is one of the very best in the world and very renowned. So if you have the opportunity, do attend a concert. You will not soon forget it. We, living 100 meters away, had a subscription of the Masterpianist series, which is also top of the bill.

“Superb concerts performed in astoundingly good acoustics”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2014

I have never known of an opportunity where I could hear so much good music being performed so well over such a short period. If you are a connoisseur of quality classic music you must go!
