I stayed here for 1 night. It was easy to found from Schiphol Airport. Just take train to Amsterdam Lelyaan, after that take tram no 1 to Central Station. Then stop at Overtoom. The hotel location just in front of the tram Overtoom.
But if you carry a lot of things, better just take taxi since u need to change train & to tram. I came there after my trip to Barcelona, with a lot of luggage & belongings and it was quite troublesome. When I came there & made the payment for the room, they said they didn't have the standard room & they only have the premium room which a bit more expensive but had bigger room. I also had asked for room with double bed, but they said the room was unavailable since it was Valentine's day and the hotel quite fully booked.
Since I asked for room not facing the street side, they gave me the room at tower B which quite far from the lobby. With many things to bring, it was quite frustrating to found my room. But my room was nice & big.
The bed was very comfortable. And the bathroom were big & spacious. I had a very pleasant stay here. One of my problem was the shower didn't have door so after I took my bath, the water were everywhere. Maybe the management can consider to put the door together with the bath, so that guest won't spent more towels to clean the floor.
Tram to go to Dam Square is just in front of the hotel. It take around 15 minutes to reach Central Station. From there, u just can walk and go to Dam Square. It just too bad, the hotel isn't near Dam Square.
Actually I stayed for 1 night only. I had asked for the staff last time how much if I wanted to have late check out, they asked me to paid another 50 euro. Then I changed my mind, since my flight at 9pm the day after. I thought to do late check out. The hotel didn't provide number to called the lobby, so I called from my mobile instead. And from the staff she said she doesn't have any room available for tomorrow, all was fully booked and I must check out tomorrow.
And the day after, I tried my luck again & called the lobby to asked whether I could do late check out, and the guy staff said I could do it ! I was surprise since the day before the other staff insisted I couldn't stay since it was fully booked. And the guy said his colleagues didn't know I stayed at premium room and I could do late check out at 6 pm (his colleague that I asked the day before said if I wanted to do late check out, I must check out at 5 pm) ! Very nice ! Too bad, I couldn't remember his name.
And I didn't know that if I did late check out, the hotel won't clean my room. So when I came back from Dam Square I still found out my room was messy. And I asked the lobby staff to gave me new towels. I need to wait for 30 minutes but all the housekeeping person never came, so I called the lobby again and within 10 minutes, I got 5 new towels ! So nice !
Will consider to stay at this hotel again. But overall, I really enjoy stay at this hotel.
