Description: Our bread is made today exactly as it was in the beginning: with only organic stone-ground flour, salt, and water, kneaded and shaped by hand and baked in a hearth under the watchful eye of artisan bakers. We insist on the freshest and finest ingredients. If we can't find them, we make them ourselves. Our shelves are lined with the products we've created: the jams and chocolate spreads on the communal table, the granola in your parfait, the coffee that fills your bowl.

“Great food, poor service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2014

I had a delicious meal here but the man who waited on me needs to find a different career. I'm not sure what I did to irritate him, other than he made it very clear that people usually ask for bottled water and not tap water (I guess that he was looking for a bigger tip.) He was more interested in flirting with the waitresses than providing good service.

“Great Brunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013

I dined here on a recent trip and it was fab. I will visit again, for the hazelnut praline spread alone! Ordered an omelette which was great and the coffee was lovely too, Great service and very quick from ordering to eating.

“My breakfast café”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

As we found it was quite close to the hotel, and the breakfast at the hotel was extremely expensive, from day 1 of 4 we had breakfast at Le Pain Quotidien. Very friendly staff, a bit slow - the place is always full - with excellent croissants, bread, juices, lattes, cappuccinos, etc. The perfect place to star your day.

“The Best of Two Worlds”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2013

This belgian franchaice bases its menu on classic french (well, belgian as well as it turns out) baking traditions. Wonderful bread in all shades of grain, quality coffee, custom made marmalade and the true belgian touch for chocolate spreads. While having a morning to brunch like feel they also make delicious sandwiches - the latter kept in a somewhat more modern style than the look of the café shops might lead you to think. Their homemade lemonade and ice teas are a knock out.

Being a franchaice in spite of it's organic grassroot look Le Pain Quotidien (The Daily Bread) delivers a very decent meal in a very pleasant atmosphere - and the staff (at least the times we visited with a load full of kids) was very forthcoming and helpful.

“Good casual lunch.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

This is a casual restaurant that reminded me slightly of Panera Bread in the U.S. It has a bakery feeling to it with good sandwiches and salad type of offerings. The service was a bit slow but we were on vacation so we relaxed.
