My wife and I spent 4 days in Amsterdam on a multi-city European tour. We stayed at B&B Reuben based entirely on Trip Advisor information and were not disappointed. Joyce is a wonderful, helpful host. As well as providing a comfortable, spacious room, she showed us many ways to better experience the city more efficiently.
We were on the second floor. When we walked in the room we were beyond happy to see a room 3 times the size of the bed and breakfast rooms so prevalent across Europe. It has a great little kitchen with table and chairs, a good sized bathroom with shower, a small seating area with 2 comfy chairs and small table and a pull out couch for bed with very comfy mattress ... I slept GREAT on it!!
Joyce dropped off food for us daily for breakfasts the following morning. We had cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit and juice, breads and cheeses and meats. Most enjoyable. In fact, we made ourselves a sandwich each day to take along for lunch and had plenty to eat. The coffee in the room WAS GREAT!! ... very important for we Canadians who are removed from our Tim Hortons
My wife and I are walkers .... this location had us within 30 minutes of pretty much all attractions which was great. We had a nice view of a canal from our window, were in a quiet / safe neighbourhood and, had we chosen, within minutes of buses. There is no AC but a fan is provided. As with most places you'll see in the city, stairs are steep and narrow and is best if 2 can take a suitcase up the stairs. Joyce was there to offer help getting a suitcase up the stairs which was much appreciated. If using taxi service to go back and forth to Central Station it'll be close to 15 euros with tip each way.
I would not hesitate to recommend B & B Reuben for any length of stay. We were very comfortable, and pleased with ,our entire stay there.
