“Valued Daily Menu with friendly staffs and clean environment”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

Friendly staffs. The Daily Menu is so valued, only 15Euro for a tomato soup, main (steak, chicken breast, or spare ribs) with fries and salad, and coffee / tea! The chicken breast grilled perfectly, so juices still! The salad is so fresh with nice dressing! The fries is fried perfectly, not dried at all! That price with that quality of food is totally valued!
But the daily menu is only posted on the entrance. The waiter won't give you that menu, and you have to ask about that!

“Excellent Meal - Friendly Staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013

Wow - I had a totally different experience here. I was in Amsterdam on business and ate here one evening. Everyone was very polite and attentive, and I felt welcome. The meal was very good, and the white chocolate cheese cake was simply amazing. I had the filet and prawns combo, which while not exceptional (and I have eaten at some of the best restaurants in the world), it was quite tasty.

It was a more on the pricey end of the spectrum, but I really enjoyed the meal.

“"Tourists do not need service" -the waiter”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

After walking 12km and visiting two museums my friend and I decided to go to El Rancho. From very begingin we did feel like we were treated very different from the locals (we did have one pair of laborers eating next to us). First the waiter didn't ask if we wanted some starters, then later no-one didn't come to us to ask how the food was or if we did want something while the manager did go to the laborers once in while. As we ate the waiters counted their tips in front of customers (us). When we did pay the check by debit card the waiter interrupted us by this: "Don't you pay a tip?" althought I was collecting the coins from my purse...
The food was poor. Our beefs were burned and dry, the salad was old and tasted terrible, and overall it was expensive compared to what we got.
In summarized:
-poor customer service
-really poor food
-expensive
Travellers, don't go over here!

“Yes!! For steaks and fajita lovers!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

Dined in here with my partner in Feb. The restaurant was a short walk from our hotel and we were in the mood for some meat. Service was really good, even though the place was very full, we we not kept waiting for our orders. I had the fajitas and my partner had the rump. The portions were brill, good size and extremely tasty. Couldn't fault our meals in any way. You can pay euro or gbp and with gbp our entire bill with a few cokes each came to £45, so pretty good value too. The surroundings are very modern with long leather benches and soothing lighting. Even though the restaurant was really busy, it was not too hectic or loud. Didn't go twice on our recent trip as we were only staying a few nights, but going back in a few weeks and will be returning to this restaurant. Loves the flame grilled taste of the meat served with the fajitas and my partners steak was cooked just as asked for: rare n bloody.
