“Funky little restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013

The atmosphere is relaxed and looks like a veg restaurant from the 70s. The cook/waiter/hostess were all one person and doesn't go out of the way to greet you, however the food he delivers is wonderful. The presentation is great with beautiful dishes and everything we ordered was well prepared and delicious. It is very reasonably priced. If you have a little bit of time and want a relaxed vegetarian meal it is worth finding this restaurant.

“Not for everyone!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

It's a vegetarian/vegan restaurant tucked away down a residential street - you'd have to know it was there to find it. Inside it doesn't win any prizes for decor or style, it's functional with cheap tables and chairs. The chef/owner looks as though he enjoyed the '60s but although he is in full sight of everyone made no real effort to react to customers. The only other person working the evening we were there was a nice, friendly waitress but speed or attentiveness were not her strong points, she left messy plates and spillages on tables for a long time.
The food was unusual and pretty good, also not expensive, but if you value atmosphere when eating out, this isn't the place for you unless you bring it with you.

“Cosy, relaxed, and generous portions”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2013

Although we had a bit of a walk from the centre of Amsterdam to find this place, it was definitely worth it. It was a very informal and relaxed atmosphere, with mismatched tables and chairs, but the service was friendly and helpful, and the food was lovely, with very generous portions. You can see the food being cooked and could tell that everything was prepared to order, so although it took a little while our food was fresh and tasty.

“It's cheap and easy and healthy.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2013 via mobile

Yeah it's a weird place and that's why it's good. Those bad reviews were from folks who just didn't understand. It's a studenty vibe but I like the food, it's cooked with care. It's cheap so the complaints aren't valid. ... is not the ritz.
