My wife and I visited Flores and Puck for 3 days in July, 2014. I can't say enough good things about F&P, from the price to hospitality, to the location...
Flores and Puck is located at the back of a beautiful garden in southern Amsterdam, away from the hustle and bustle yet within a 10 minute bike ride of the city. If you take the train to Amsterdam Leleylaan, it's an easy walk south east. Our first impression of the B&B was confusion, then amazement. You're in a residential neighbourhood, then you're in an overgrown English-style garden, completely secluded from the city. It's awesome.
The cottage itself is great. It's totally self contained with a toilet, shower, sink, coffee maker (with Nespresso pucks), fridge, TV and large fold-down murphy bed. It's super cozy, very private and comfortable. There are also two quality bikes that you are allowed to use, and Astrid is the ideal host. She will tell you exactly where to go and how to get there, plus there's a small library of guidebooks in the cottage. A short ride through the vondelspark and you're in the city. The breakfast was also great - fresh bread, fresh fruit, meat & cheese, and the best orange juice you will EVER have.
I can't say enough about the location. Amsterdam is a great city, but at night it's great to retire to a relaxing spot, away from the madness of the downtown. Heading home, it's like passing through a portal. First you decompress by pedaling through the park, then you cozy into your little hut. It's very special...expect to have great sleeps!! Ideal for 1 or 2 mature people.
