“A 5 Star home !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2011

I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. I admire the location (close to leidseplein), cleanliness, safety and comfort. Its more like a tastefully furnished home than a hotel. I felt very safe from the day one. The reason for the excellence is the hotel is personally managed by owners, Nathalie and her brother Udo. They both were very helpful and cooperative. I feel its nice place to stay if you want personalized service along with safety and comfort Further, see that the room size are as per available in all hotel in Amsterdam. One should be prepared when one is travelling in Europe, but they were very clean with all things functioning well. Further, I got exactly same room (canal view room) which was shown in the picture. No last minute surprises. The hotel is situated in a quiet location, the bed was very comfortable, so you can expect a sound sleep and room cleaning was done timely everyday. I stayed in room no. 104 (canal facing) and there the wifi was working awesome. It was my first visit to Amsterdam but I got all the essential information which is must required for tourist, thanks to Nathalie and Udo. The night shift manager were also very helpful. I think his name was Benny, he was very thoughtful and allowed me very early check in, around 8 am, understanding that I was very tired from long flight, although there check in time was 2 pm. On the whole, I really liked this hotel and would stay here again on my forthcoming visit to Amsterdam.

Room Tip: Canal facing rooms have fantastic view.

I only stayed here for a night. We had a small triple room, it was tight for 3 people. It is a great place is you need a quiet sleeping environment (no train-tram-bus noise). The hallway is loud in the morning though, but other than that the room was very nice. I just think for the price (180 for a triple without breakfast), you can do better location-wise and quality-wise.

Near one of the best and central places in Amsterdam (Leidseplein). Thanks for the warm welcome, sympathy and the great cheese and bacon
breakfast pancakes. :-) Very nice experience.

Room Tip: Deluxe Double room With view of canal

We spent 3 days in this lovely hotel near Leidseplein. Nathalie the owner and her brother are very helpful and friendly, the rooms are modern and the breakfast is delicious. We will come again dear Nathalie! Thank you!

This hotel really did make our stay in Amsterdam so enjoyable and relaxing. We had a fantastic time in the city itself but our stay at Boutique Hotel View was everything you would expect in terms of service, cleanliness, comfort and location. Mirroring some of the other reports it really is true what they about the Owner Nathalie, extremely welcoming and helpful and everything done with a smile on her face. She is Superwoman as she manages to keep on top of everything, nothing is too much trouble and her breakfasts are quite amazing......particularly the bacon and cheese pancakes, they were worth the air fare alone! I will be, without doubt, recommending this hotel to anyone going to Amsterdam and we will be returning as soon as possible! Nothing else to say other than brilliant!

This hotel is eveything I would look for in a city centre hotel: a stone's throw from many of the major sites and restaurants/nightlife, without being noisy, spacious rooms and very tastefully decorated. But the reason for rating this hotel so highly is the people. The owners could not have been more welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. And the breakfast pancakes are THE BEST. The cute cats and dog made for a home-from-home and I would thoroughly recommend BHV.

Room Tip: The lower ground front room (002) suffers from some street noise from the passing bicycles, and the...

The hotel is located at around the river. it is really a good place for city view, shopping and food. and the people there were also very nice. Although there was no a lift in the hotel, the people helped us to take our luggage upstairs.
