“Worth the taxi trip out of Amsterdam city centre”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2013

Great service, amazing location, good recommendations, wholesome and filling food. Perfect for a dinner with friends/girlfriend/travelling companions. Make sure you have a reservation, and allow 20-30 euro cab fare each way.

“Nearly great food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013 via mobile

Cool location, food slightly over cooked and hard to get the staffs attention. Very much enjoyed it but it could have been extra special.

“Great venue, excellent price/quality ratio”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2013

This venue is definitely the place to bring your guests to: in the industrial Amsterdam Noord, it's either a winter adventure to drive through the dark gates & past the warehouses, or in the summer a great trip to the edge of the IJ channel that connects Amsterdam to the North Sea. It's impressive to see huge cruise ships sail past while you enjoy a great dinner.

The restaurant is in an old garage, with a beautiful old Citroen and Porsche still parked among the diners. It's beautifully decorated and definitely "something else".

Regarding food, the three course menu is about 30 euros: a great deal considering the quality. Food is French, I'd give high marks both to the steak tartare and the filet steak I had. Don't worry about the Dutch only menu: the waiter will explain it thoroughly, just ask.

“Simply awesome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

One of the best meals we had in Amsterdam, we're glad we made the effort. The starters and mains were excellent (risotto, baby roast chicken and neck of lamb all scored perfect 10s), dessert to be honest was nothing to crowe about. Service was great and especially handy seeing as the menus were in Dutch and we didn't speak the language. It was also great value for money. The restaurant is set in what was previously a warehouse for a steel manufacturer (or so we were told) and still maintains evidence of being an industrial site complete with parked cars and cement floors. Shabby chic works well for this restaurant, which is out of the way if you're based around the central sites in Amsterdam, yet worth the easy boat ride and 10 -15minute walk to the restaurant. You will wonder where in the world you are being led to as you walk past car dealerships, industrial sites and residential estates, but trust your map! ;)

“industrial coolness with a French twist”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013

Not the easiest place to get to unless you have a car. But its worth it! and it has to be placed away from the city to be somehow loyal to its industrial wannnabe coolness.
Food is French brasserie style. Not a lot to chose from, but we have tried most dishes and they are all good. Probalby you can get a better quality / price ratio somewhere else, but then you miss the cool setting....(and remember to reserve - also on a Tuesday evening)
