“Love Citizenm!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2014

Me and my boyfriend came for a 3 night stay 3rd April till 7th and loved it!
Been to citizenm in glasgow lots of times so knew what to expect... Spotless room as usual! And the cleaner came everyday with fresh towels!

Tram stop is literally a minute walk away, Zuid station is a 5 min walk where you get the train to airport in under 10 mins, brill! Tram number 5 comes all the time and is a 10 min max journey to all shops/resturants/bars.

Can't fault anything on hotel or our stay, Will be back to citizenm when we visit amsterdam again later on in the year! We loved the place!! :-)

Would definitely recommend to stay here in amsterdam or any citizenm hotel!

Great location : The hotel is just 1 minute walk from tram number 5. This tram takes you to the museums(10 mins) and the central station(25 mins). Very modern : You'll have to stay here to experience it. The hotel staff were very friendly and spoke good English.

Note: Ideal for couples.

Room Tip: All the rooms are the same I guess.

Within walking distance of Schipol Airport. Very convenient for one night stay for 2 people, not spacious so a longer stay may be uncomfortable. Shower is great, no separate toilet room so not all that private but there is a door. Comfortable bed.
Staff are very helpful and extremely pleasant, eager to help.
The restaurant was a pleasant surprise, we were planning to go out for a meal and as we walked to the lobby there was a great menu posted and tasty food available! Very convenient. Breakfast was also good. Computer check in and out, very fast. Would stay again.

We stayed as a group of 8 in 4 rooms in CitizenM.

The hotel is funky/ modern/ stylish, and a bit quirky. The beds are huge and very comfortable. The rooms are smallish and vey designer. Overall we had a fabulous time. The staff were absolutely brilliant

Biggest fault was there is no wardrobe - just space for some hangers. The toilet and shower both consist of a retractable 'glass tubes' in the room. We thought this was run, but this would not be everyone's cup of tea.

The hotel is located away from the centre, in a safe quiet area. It's about 5 mins on the number 5 tram to Museum Plein, and another 5 mins to Dam Plain

Overall highly recommended

Big king bed, and we were able to get two duvets without problem. Easy check in, the room was small but nice. The bed is a little bit hard but ok. Cleaning not so good on Sunday we went to the city at 11:am and need to ask the stuff to clean our room and when we came home in the night they only switched the towels. A bit outside the city but it works just fine to take the tram. It's worth the money.

On first glance this is probably not a hotel for families as there is only one room configuration (large king size bed) and no connecting rooms but if you can, try it before you discount it.
We stayed for one night and would have stayed for many more. The staff are on hand to help with any questions including using the Mac computers, which are available for guests to use free of charge.
The touchscreen mood pad will keep children entertained but there are plenty of free movies that they will enjoy watching too.
A little out of town but with the tram stopping outside the hotel it's only a short rid to the museums and the centre plus we appreciated the quieter area after the busy centre.

Room Tip: Familiarise yourself with the mood pad. This will operate everything from the blinds to the lights...

The hotel consists of several boxes, containing a shower a toilet and a bed and nothing more. The toilet and the shower are in the middle of the room, seperated only by round glass bubbles. So make sure you have absolutely NO secrets from the person you are sharing the room with. The two stars are for the stylish lobby and the friendly hipster personnel.
