CitizenM Amsterdam City is innovatively designed and the rooms are very stylish and comfortable as long as you are clear on the caveat around privacy (or lack thereof) but this is very well documented on the website and other reviews. The staff are very warm and friendly and in fact and present and helpful, more so that other 'design' hotels in my experience. You do have to be clear that you are very much out of the action though. There is a very easily accessible tram link that connects to the centre in about 15 minutes, however if you plan on going out for late nights this can prove an extra expense as taxis are not cheap in Amsterdam.

Stayed for 1 night and met expectations. Room is basically a box with space used efficiently (big comfy bed covers whole width of room). Shower and toilet in cylinder shaped pods in the room. I didn't sample the bar or breakfast but when you stay here you feel like you're a cool cat because you check-in by yourself, get mood lighting, free movies and control everything from a remote in your room. I imagine if I stayed longer this cool feeling would wear off quickly. But for a couple of nights, concept works well. Location slightly outside centre but good transport connections. Would stay here again

The citizenM in Amsterdam was well situated within easy access both to city and airport. With the Tram stop just around the corner and ticket bought onboard it was just a short trip to te centre.
Also just out the door to the right was the bus and train stop with direct links to the airport. Bus 310 and 4 € later it was easy to get to the airport.
Stayed at the cittyzenM Airport which is just a small walk from the bus stop as well.
The hotel was easy with all need for. Staff was very friendly, food was enough but if ypu are looking for a good dinner, try out some of the city staurants. I have stayed at the hotel in Glasgow as well and enjoy it for a shorter periods. the price are good, hotel are clean and easy accessed.

Room Tip: Rooms are generally the same but if possible, get one higher up with posssible to enjoy some views.

We stayed two nights after a cruise and really enjoyed this hotel. Close to the tram, very modern with Mac computers in the lobby and remote controlled mood lighting. Very small rooms with the toilet and shower actually in the room (separated by a frosted glass door) so make sure you are comfortable with whomever you are sharing the room. Food is costly in the hotel, but they do have lockers for keeping your luggage before check-in time.

Best beds and coffee you could want! However, not for the romantic, as bathroom is in middle of room with a glass cylinder surround! As a single traveller, this hotel is fantastic.

Staff are very eager to help and check in is by computer. Original and worthwhile

The layout of the room, at first, is weird. But when you get used to it you realise how efficient the layout is! The bed was huge and the mood pad is a great quirk. The location is slightly out of town but a quick tram link of about 15mins max gets you into the heart of the city. Free wifi is a bonus. The only issue with the room was that I was staying with my girlfriend of 7 months and we felt uncomfortable going for a number two with only a glass door seperating us!
