“Nice cafe in a sea of average”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2014

Great little cafe I sucked into after walking the old town of AMS on a cool and foggy afternoon. Had a nice grilled cauliflower soup with suckling pig bacon bits and a grilled haloumi cheese with mushrooms starter to keep me until a lets dinner. The soup was served with an amazing farmhouse bread and organic butter which complimented the rustic soup well. Perfect for a winter's day.

I also enjoyed a Gulpener winter ale which turned out to be the perfect choice for both dishes. Although the menu is not organic per se, they have tried very hard to incorporate organic products where possible and also utilize local suppliers.

Too many average or crap little restaurants near here so this simple cafe stands out nicely for quality of food and atmosphere. Try it.

“Lovely Little Cafe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2013

Lovely little cafe, right near the Station. Good menu, very fresh tasting food and friendly staff. Love the homely feel to the place - bohemian and cosy. Perfect place for coffee or a light lunch. Great views for people watching!

“For a quick bite straight out of Central Station...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2013

Excellent service, coffee and pancakes to die for. Not fancy, but warm and friendly. Food prepared fresh, and well worth a little extra wait! A great place to sit and watch the world go by or get one's bearings. All the busses, trains, trams and metro terminate just across the street.

“Excellent cafe/restaurant in city centre”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2013

Came across it by accident nearly opposite,(to one side of Central Station). went in for coffee and cake. Really good atmosphere and friendly staff. Dinner menu looked good, so booked for the evening. Food excellent, and obviously prepared and cooked to order. Only three types of (French) organic wines available - red, white and rose, but red excellent. Good selection of beers. Prices good value for city centre. Looks to be 'ethically' run as well. Would highly recommend.
