“Great restaurant in the heart of Amsterdam”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2014

We had a wonderful meal there last night - not only was the food delicious and modern but the presentation was exquisite. The subtle combination of flavours on every platter was interesting to say the least, complemented each other and worked wonderfully well together. It has become one of our favourite places to go to not only because its very close to our home but because of the ambience and the fact that we are always greeted and treated very well. We are especially impressed with the warm, friendly and efficient service by Tiffany! She's a charming young woman and takes the time to get to know her customers. We are lucky to have been served by the same young lady on the last three occasions we visited the restaurant. Thanks Tiffany - you made our meal an enjoyable experience. The only negative point is that the outdoor seating, while very elegant, was extremely noisy yesterday due to high volume of motor cycles and cars. We will certainly visit the restaurant again but maybe this time would opt for an indoor seating arrangement.
Cheers - Cheryl & Rajiv.

“Unique Italian”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2014

We went to this restaurant based upon past Trip Advisor reviews and were not disappointed. It appears to have a changing menu which contributes to the dining experience. It is a nice casual atmosphere, the service was excellent and the food was delicious. They offer a 4-6 course menu which gives you a variety of flavors as well as a la carte items. It is in the middle of city and easily accessible. It is a little pricey but the everything from the wine to the desserts make it worth it. If you go here looking for spaghetti and meatballs you will be disappointed. If you go looking for a dining experience with food you probably can't get easily elsewhere, you will be happy.

“5* all the way”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2014

I don´t know where 3amigo had their dinner but it can't be in Bussia. The service during the evening was effective and always with a smile. We had the 5 course menu with wine (the Barolo as well). Every dish was made with love and high skills and the wine made it to the highest level of cooking. If you are in Amsterdam try this out, it is well worth the money!

“A Kitchen Ballet”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2014

Food shortly, but we were seated to where we could observe the 5 chefs at work, and it was impressive. The care that went into the plating of each dish was something to behold. Watching one dish in particular (it happened to be my wife's veal order), the time spent on it was astounding..at least (on and off) ten minutes, and yes, it tasted as good as one could ask for. Our conclusions on this Italian eatery was it represented the most subtle Italian dining experience we had ever had. Everything was over the top...and the options of going back and forth between the two (standard and fixed price) menus is a plus...and if it's on the menu, do not miss the pineapple desert, one of the best and most delicate desserts ever. The two young owners (Chef B.J. and wife/manager) are a delight and should be very proud of having created one of the most popular restaurants in a city of fine dining. Call ahead or you won't get in.

“Worst meal of our lives”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2014

The culinary disaster began with the chefs special appetizers. Tuna on a gelatinous pillar which was accompanied by a dollop of foam reported to be white chocolate, both of these items were tasteless. My son and I had the confit of quail which was raw while my wife attempted the asparagus risotto with egg that was so salty it was inedible. This was followed by calamari ravoil which was also salty and of course inedible. My son had the lobster gnochhi which he said was salty but he was so hungry, he had to eat it. The final onslaught was the lamb which was served in various cooking methods, such as dry, fried and raw, none of the attempted methods were edible. My wife had the pork which was the largest slab on fatback ever served, after she removed the fat which consisted of 95% of the serving, the remaining 5 % of the pork meat was salty. Our entire meal was inedible and does not resemble any food served in Italy. The self reflected pretentiousness and concentration on food description was unnecessary as no presentation or words can make up for a complete culinary disaster.
