“Excellent little park to rest between museums”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2013

Excellent location to stop and take a brief break while visiting the local museums. Quirky little sculptures and the famous I amsterdam sign. Lots of tourist during the warm weather taking their obligatory photos and an overall fun and funky little park. Well worth a visit.

“3 world-class museums in a park-like setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2013

There are very few places in the world where you can find 3 world-class museums in one small area surrounded by acres of parkland. Make time to see all 3 museums. My favorite is the Van Gogh museum, followed by the Rijksmuseum and last the Stedjelik, but all are worthwhile. Trams take you to the north, west or south perimeter of the park. After your museum visits head towards Leidseplein for lunch and other festivities including street performers in warm weather.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013 via mobile

This is a a good place to just have some rest and for kids to have a little fun in the park. We stopped here after making a visit to the diamond musuem. Dont go out of your way to see this, but if u happen to be around the museums, just take some snaps here

“Beautiful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

This is a beautiful park with fountains and sculptures, including the Iamsterdam (like at the airport) and is surrounded by the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh museum, and the Stadmuseum. Lotsof people picnicing, walking, biking, and playing frisbee. Wonderfully manicured lawns, surrounded by amazing architecture. Well worth it!

“Fun, but BUSY”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

We walked through the Museumplein on our way to the Van Gogh museum, and hoping to take a photo with the iamsterdam sign (kitschy, but cool). However, by 10am there were SO many people here that it was pretty much impossible. There was no common courtesy or respect for those waiting - everyone was just pushing and shoving and walking in front of people to get what they wanted. Had we more time in Amsterdam we would have left and come back a different time of day. The grass field was full of picnicers - and a great location. All the public sculptures add to the area, and the large fountain/pond in the middle is beautiful and adds. Great place to take a "break". However, in the summer, the crowds of tourist from 10 - 4 at least, are unavoidable.
