“Great stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013 via mobile

Nice Hotel really helpfully staff clean and tidy. Good location easy to get into centre with lots of trams and buses. 14, 7' 21 easy to get too and drivers very easy to get along with. Great 3 star accommodation. If you want 5 star do not stay here.

We (family of 4) stayed here for 3 nights in August.

We bought 3 day GVB passes from tourist information at Schipol and then took the 69 GVB Bus and it dropped us off about 1 minutes walk from the hotel.

The room was on the ground floor, very quiet and was spacious enough for the 4 of us. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice and should have something to please everyone.

It’s a 20 min tram ride into the centre, we took the 7 and 14 (Flevopark) into the city and the 7 and 14 (Slotmeer) back to the hotel (the hotel gave us the tram details etc when we checked in).

The inconvenience of the 20 min trip into the centre is mitigated by the lower price paid for the room, the hotel is in an Moroccan/Tunisian area, it’s not the prettiest of places but it’s certainly not run down and the locals were friendly. There are restaurants and a super market near by.

The staff were friendly and helpful and we would stay again.

...wich is not easily to be found in Amsterdam, and quite often very expensive.
This hotel has all the comfort, and quietness of the room, you need. Friendly, helpfull people and last but not least; we enjoyed a very complete breakfast. A good base to discover Amsterdam!

My daughters and I stayed here for three nights. The hotel is not the best to look at from the outside, and not greatly improved on the inside in the lobby area. They have a very small bar in the lobby area. The room was very clean and comfortable. We did not eat in the hotel (breakfast is 12 euros per person or 10 if you book in advance) We found it was more interesting to eat out and experience the city. The plus side of this hotel is that you can get the 69 bus direct from the airport (2.80 euros) and just a short walk from the bus stop. A taxi would be 35 - 40 euros. You also have just a short walk to get on the tram (number 14 which takes you to Dam Square and the zoo) or bus 21 which takes you top central station. You can buy bus tickets at the hotel, the longer the ticket is for the cheaper the daily amount gets. The staff at reception where great, very pleasant and helpful.

The hotel is easily accessible by public transportation. Tram and bus stop is just a few minutes walk away. It was good value for money and rooms were clean. We were satisfied with the hotel, and would stay there again, mainly due to the convenient location.
Only disadvantage is that the walls seem to be quite thin, and at night you can hear quite a lot of noise. If you are a light sleeper it might be disruptive, but it was ok for us.
There was also a fire alarm going off in the middle of the night, which obviously is not the hotel's fault, but the announcement that came through the alarm system was only in Dutch. Then all of a sudden the alarm went off. Might be a good idea for the hotel in the future to make an announcement in English that the hazard is over. We were left wondering what had happened and if we needed to react somehow.

The hotel very very nice and safe too. Reception extremely helpful. Communicate was easy with us (we are deaf). Very good English language.
The room clean and superb. Viewed wonderful canal. The beds were very comfortable. There's the tea/coffee making facilities, thanks!!! And the safe box.
Great place to city 20 minutes by tram. The travel pass price is not bad. All day (24 hour) - €7.50 per person. Single ticket - €2.20. Recommend to pay all day ticket. Buy it in tram/bus.
After 12 noon, allow to store luggage in a secure baggage room.
Breakfast was excellent and staff friendly.
Very safe for car park inder hotel.
We deffo would come again!!!

Room Tip: * Special disability/deaf alarm system, if any fire, who and how help us?! So we are deaf, hmm

The hotel was clean, rooms are fair size for Europe, with small, but more-than-adequate bathrooms. It is located in a residential neighborhood, but has easy access to tram lines that get you to the central (tourist) part of Amsterdam in about 20-30 minutes. They should promote better that the 69 city bus runs from the airport to the hotel. I paid 37 Euros for a taxi from the airpot to the hotel, but paid nothing (as I had a 48-hour GVB travel card) to ride the bus back to the airport.
