“Great hotel,”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013 via mobile

Stayed at this hotel for two nights 8/2-10/2, with seven friends and it was great value. Firstly do not let pictures of the exterior fool you, the inside of the hotel is up to date and modern and clean. I stayed in a double room and the room and bathroom were both clean and tidy on arrival. Both the double and triple room which my friends stayed in were spacious. Only two issues with the hotel 1) the hotel is not really central, about 15-20mins by tram into the city. However the tram stop is only a minute away and the bus 14 takes you straight to Dam square. 2) a hot breakfast for vegetarians is fairly limited and vegetarian substitutes are not available. All in all a great hotel and if I went back to Amsterdam I would definitely stay here again!

I stayed here three nights on a business trip and found that it was a good choice,
The hotel has the advantage of being very easy to reach from the airport - the 69 bus stops very close by and takes about 35 minutes, running every 15 mins during the day, every 30 mins in the evening.
The room was clean and spacious - mine overlooked the road at the front and so was a bit noisy during the day, but the trams didn't keep me awake.
Getting into town wasn't a problem as there's bus and trams running from the adjacent square.
Breakfast was good and plentiful - it's cheaper if booked the day before.
Free wifi was a welcome bonus.
I found the staff really helpful - they speak excellent English and are happy to assist you with transport queries, giving you timetables and selling you travel passes.
The area is not pretty, but the good transport connections make up for this, and there's an excellent Turkish restaurant (Meram) almost directly opposite the hotel.
All in all, good value for money, and I would use the hotel again.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the canal at the side, rather than the front, are probably quieter

We stayed here for a short break and were very impressed with the room. The size was more than enough for two people and very clean. The breakfast was good, much better than a lot of hotels. Although the hotel is not located in central Amsterdam it takes around 15 minutes on a tram or taxi to get to the centre. Overall I would recommend this hotel to people who are not looking to spend a small fortune on hotels but to have a comfortable stay in a budget hotel.

It was a good budget hotel with comfortable rooms and friendly staff. The rooms may seem small but they are clean and cozy. The breakfast is good. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. It takes about 20 minutes on a tram/15 minutes on bus to go to Amsterdam Central.

We stayed here with a tour group, so I can't speak to the value, but it was the best hotel we stayed in the entire trip. It was convenient to the tram, comfortable, clean, exactly what you'd expect for an Best Western. Whenever I travel to Europe I never expect much from the hotel rooms, but this was good even on American standards! It's about 15-20 Euro in a taxi from Dam Square for those nights that you're out too late for the tram, which is not bad at all.

Stayed here for 2 nights on a Contiki Tour. Friend and I were lucky enough to get a huge twin room with single beds and an LCD TV. Loads for space for our luggages. (However, 2 other people on our tour who were sharing a room at the hotel got a very small long twin room. Completely different to ours, so it might just be the luck of the draw to which room you end up with.)The bathroom was massive and there was complementary little bottles of soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion. It was a keycard system to get into the room and we got a key each.

The hotel is next to a shopping center and a market, as well as resturants. The Tram stops are very closeby, just a 2 minute walk.

Huge selection at buffet breakfast, from cold to hot options. Juice and Coffee was easily available.

I had a very comfortable stay here.

For the Money €50 per room per night excluding breakfast.(hotels.com) this was excellent value! As a Business traveller, it's all about the room & the price; nothing more comforting to return tired from a long day and relax in a lovely comfortable well appointed warm spacious room...This is the Hotel, even for a romantic weekend !! Ensuite well appointed & spacious also. House keeping daily.
The rest of the hotel is very very very ordinary. Reception staff very efficient & most helpfull.
You can eat accross the road from a choice of eateries, very handy & great.
Neighbourhood very safe & easy access to the City centre just 15mins away.
Every single person speaks english, smiles & are most helpful...lovely ppl.

For the Value I would deff stay here again !

Room Tip: Make sure you get your booking company to make a note on their application to this hotel to request...
