This hotel is fab! Will def be back at this hotel again in Amsterdam. Staff are very helpful. food ok but we ate out most of the time. 15 mins away from centre which we loved as the trams are part of the holiday- so easy to hop on and off ( hotel staff will tell you where to get on and off and what to do ). I personally loved the location as it's not far away at all STOP MOANING FOR THOSE WHO THINK IT IS!!!! Very clean and felt very safe

Just spent 3 days at blue square hotel very clean, very helpful staff.Locality safe even at night local shops good local school children helpful with language problems. Went on 21 bus to central square on recommendation of reception who explained it perfectly followed by canal cruise wonderful day. Breakfast ample but a sausage and hash brown wouldnt go amiss. Had two evening meals (specials) chef catered for every requirement. Only minuses, room hot and a bit stuffy at times and no way of opening window but did see other windows open so maybe only our room.Shower/bath not really suitable for mobility problems like we had but when asked for extra non slip mats they were produced immediatly. All in all a very relaxing and quiet stay some may find not being close to bright lights a problem but as said before 21 bus has you there in 20 mins.We will deffinately go again.

Room Tip: Ask for rear of hotel looks out onto canal

Hello All,
This is my third visit to Amsterdam, i have been staying in hotels near to airport till date now i was looking for a change and i found out this hotel and i had a every great day stay of 2 days and starting from the reception it was a very pleasant experience with24 hours room service and all the staff was very cooperative and helpful even they arrange for maps of the places you want to visit.
This hotels is just in between a Lake ( name not remembering) with lot of swams swimming around and i was enjoying the natural beauty by sitiing in my room

For people who are on business tours and need some sound sleep with out any noise and disturbance this is a very gud hotel

Room Tip: All the rooms were well furnished... but one problems is all the rooms in the hotel is NON SMOKING

We noticed that the makeup bottle broken. Probably the housekeeping broke it. We came to the front desk that said that the hotel manager not here and we can speak with him only by e-mail.
The first mail ignored, the second was with stupid excuse that the hosekeeping in vacation so i need to wait until she will come back to work (Dont you hear about TELEPHONE??!!)
After two weeks that no one respond I sent the third mail that also roughly ignored.
Stay away from this hotel. your personals belongings not protected.
Horrible management!
NEVER NEVER come back to this hotel again.
Very far from Amsterdam center and located in scary neighborhood with homeless people

Stayed 5 nights in this hotel, the location was a 20 minute tram journey which we were well aware of before we travelled as we had done our homework. Not once did we feel uncomfortable in the area and we have recommended this hotel to others. The tram journeys were part of the holiday as were the bus journeys. The restaurant on the canal was excellent and would definitely eat there again. We only had breakfast in the hotel which was also excellent especially the bread selection. Bedroom was spacious and very clean- we had a room to the back of the hotel . Although the hotel was full when we stayed it was very quiet in the corridors. As this was a city break we didn't go to Amsterdam to spend time in the hotel so it certainly complemented the rest of our break.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel.

we stayed in the hotel for 7 night. the hotel is very nice and clean, the stuff is great very helpful with directions. we got a nice room with a view to the canal, the room was very clean and comfortable. the bad and the shower was amazing!!! the breakfast buffet is rich and fresh.
the location is about 20 minutes tram ride from the center. the neighborhood is not so pleasant... generally the area is a non-dutch area (to say the least) we were afraid to come back late at night. overall i would say that we enjoyed our stay, yet we would rather pay more and stay in a safer area and a closer to center.

Room Tip: rooms at the back side of the hotel has a nice view to the canal and it's also very quiet becaus...
