The location is excellent right next to Centraal Station.
The rooms are small but clean
Breakfast is adequate
Free Porn channel for those interested.

To sum up it is what it is a cheap hotel at a cheap price.
If you want a luxorious hotel pay more and get one if you
just want a nice clean cheap room in an excellent location.
This is for you.

Stayed at the Botel Nov 21 thru 28, yes room was small and bathroom was smaller but it was clean and the staff was friendly, rooms were cleaned almost everyday but then we slept till noon everyday, the Botel is centraly located and close to Central Station (2 block walk), arrived at 7am and room wasn't available but they checked our luggage and told us to come back anytime after 2pm, that was fine, it gave us the morning to explore, I would recommend the Botel to anyone and would stay and will stay there again on my next trip.

Hotel was clean and tidy as was our room. Bathroom was a little small
but it is a boat remember. We could feed the ducks from the window, and there is a free telly in each room.
All in all we had a good stay and would book again. Breakfast was bacon and sausage sandwiches and various rolls cheese etc.. .The botel is just a short walk away from the station and nightlife. There is building
work going on behind the botel which did not effect us as we were at the
front. JOHN

Hi, My girlfriend and I have just arrived back from a long weekend in Amsterdam. We had an excellent time which was compounded by two things, firstly the Amstel Botel and secondly the weather!

We chose the Botel because I had stayed there 7 years ago when I visited A'dam with a friend. I couldn't remember much about it other than there was nothing bad about the place which is the sort of thing you don't forget too quickly. After a disgusting stay at The ACCA Hotel in February 2004 (don't go there whatever you do) we wanted to stay somewhere clean, friendly and close to the action. I decided the Botel was the place for us and what a great decision I made. The place was welcoming, friendly, clean and tidy. We received excellent service from all the staff, the breakfast was good, the room was very clean and bedding and towels were changed daily if you hung the cleaning card on your door, if you don't do that you probably won't get clean sheets etc which possibly explains a few of the bad reviews about the Botel. There was no major noise to report and the bathroom though small was exceptionally clean. The bed was comfy enough for three nights and the view over the canal was fantastic to say the least. We were on the top floor which made everything just perfect as when the sun shines over the canal the view is lovely. The rooms are small but what do people really expect, if you want the Mariott then pay for it. I knew from the moment we walked in and my girlfriend gave it the seal of approval saying "I really like it, its great" that everything was gonna be fine. That coming from anyone is not a really bold statement I suppose but as she is a Reservations Supervisor for a very large and expensive 4 star UK Hotel Group I think it says a helluva lot for the Botel. All in all we couldn't really fault the place, I would, without exception, recommend it to anyone. We were very, very happy and completely enjoyed our stay.

Well we got back from amsterdam about an hour ago and wonder if we went to the same botel as half the reviews on here???? we worried for ages b4 we went, but it was absolutely fine! IMMACULATE throughout! yes rooms are on the small side...IT IS A BOAT!!!!! but by no means tiny? comfy beds / bar served till 12.45am too!/ staff fine! and breakfast excellent, what more could anyone want? i would recommend this botel to anyone, for all the above reasons, plus it's good location to everything, most amsterdam hotels are on the small side anyway! and this was EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY! dont be put off!
