“good hotel in its category”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

Auberge Nassau is a small simple hotel. however, I had a pleasant stay (for one night). The room in which I was was small, but well decorated and furnished and clean. There were a kettle and a coffee maker and it was possible to access internet for free. The hotel is close to the downtown and is located on a pleasant square with restaurants and bars. My room was giving on the square, but I was not disturbed by the noise.
The only point that is a little bit negative is the breakfast which could have been better. The bread and pastries were dry and the coffee a pure robusta.

I stayed here for 3 nights in June 2012. Although it is slightly off the main centre, it is still very central, and is within 5 minutes walk from the centre and just under 10 minutes walk from the train station. There is a flight of steps to the room - so it could be challenging if you have a heavy piece of suitcase. I found the room to be cosy, and well equipped. The bonus is the breakfast that is included, and very importantly, free WiFi. Overall, if you are looking for value for $, its a good choice.

I picked this hotel for stay based on positive reviews in TripAdvisor. But may be my expectations were pumped up by the reviews, I was not very impressed by the experience I had.
Auberge Nassaue is a small hotel with just 7 or 8 rooms, right above a very fine restaurant (run by same owners). The location is great, very close to shopping streets & restaurants. But if you are travelling with luggage, then dragging them up the steep stairs to first floor could be difficult (read: no elevator). The room was reasonably spacious, but the only window opened right on to the wall of the next building. The decor of the room was bare minimal. It looked more like the bed room of an apartment that needed some good repair to be done. The carpet on the floor was dirty and not clean.
The hotel had kept a bottle of water in the room, which was a pleasant surprise and not seen even in hotels of higher class in Eindhoven. And the best part was the breakfast that was included in room rent and was served in the restaurant on the ground floor. Unlike the 'mechanised breakfast experience' you get at other business hotels, here breakfast is served with a personal touch, on your table.
And now the last and the most important part. The room rent was very reasonable. I paid 30% lesser than what I spent at other hotels for stay. And this made it a 'value for money' experience.

Stayed at this hotel as a stop off whilst driving to Germany.

Check in at the restaurant next door. Very friendly and gave advise on parking (on the other side of the square is possible but costs 2.5€ hour, pay at meter. Parking fees stop at 9pm and then restart at 9am.

Rooms through a separate door off the street. They are a little small but well furnished. The bathroom is tiny but functional. Something a bit strange over the door out to the corridor. They created a false ceiling but then not filled in in from the room side so you have a big exposed cavity over the door and bathroom (not really an issue but just seems odd not to finish it off properly.

Breakfast included and very nice.

The location is great on a nice square with some nice bars/restaurants and just 5 minutes walk leads to many many more choices of places to eat and drink, also a walk to the station if using the train.

This is a B&B (or more like guesthouse) operated by a restaurant bar (next door) downstairs. The room is small and a bit dark. The bathroom is a bit cramped. Outstanding breakfast.

It is not a hotel but like a guesthouse. The main business seems to be the restaurant downstairs. The B&B is next door. Although the room is small, simple, cosy and clean. Keep in mind that hotels in the Netherlands are quite expensive. The price they offer is therefore unbeatable. A bottle of drinking water is offered in the room. The WiFi is free!!! The bathroom is nevertheless too small.

The breakfast is the highlight of the stay. Although it is not buffet but the breakfast will be served to your table in a tower set!!! You cannot finish it I bet. There is a big variaty of food, with high quality. Moreover, the restaurant where you also have the breakfast is VERY LOVELY.

The train station is in a walking distance. The main bus station is next to it. Bus no.16 stops near the B&B.

Shops in the Netherlands close very early. Around 6 pm. Do not miss them.

We stayed in this B&B for one night, and I would definitely stay here again. Our room was big and clean and the bed was comfortable, although the matress was quite soft. The bathroom was clean but felt a bit cramped. It also looked like the owner did some DIY with not enough experience, example the door couldn't close but thats just a little pointer. In general the room was clean and looked good.

The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast in the hotel next door was good.
