“Excellent Hotel in the heart of the city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2014

This was an excellent hotel in the heart of the city. The rooms were a little on the small side but perfectly acceptable and the location was superb, 2 minutes walk from the main square.

We were a party of 12 people and we were warmly greeted on arrival. All the rooms were ready and clean. Breakfast was served in a cafe next door, which was excellent with a 9 euro all you can eat buffet. This gave us the choice of eating there or going somewhere else for breakfast, but after sampling the food we had breakfast there both mornings we stayed.

The price was very reasonable for the level of accomodation and I cannot recommend this hotel more strongly.

We stayed for our friends birthday and found this hotel excellent. Checking in was great and they advised us on breakfast etc. room was basic but lovely they had ample towels and toiletries and bed was compfy. Everything was local and we walked from bus stop but found that taxi was just as cheap from airport. If we were in eindenhoven again we would def stay

We stayed here for one night and were happy but not overly impressed. It's in the middle of the city centre, so you're very conveniently close to all the activity. In the evenings, the street outside the hotel is very quiet. The staff is very friendly and helpful and made reservations for us for dinner. The hotel room is definitely better than average but nothing too special. I like the brown and beige color scheme, simple and elegant. The floors are dusty and scratched up, and the ac was not working. Otherwise, it's a cozy room with the necessary amenities you'd need for your stay.

Central location was ideal for our 3 night stay. Reception staff would have to be the best we have encountered during our European holiday.Special thanks to Suzie and Remi, for their friendly, help and interest in our holiday.laundry was great.

Room Tip: Junior suite way to go

Staff at the reception is really nice, but I thought the ambience would be more looked after! The room is a big grey square, with an awful mix of old and new furniture, makes it look like they just threw in what they had, without a thought.
Big office style window too, with view on some offices and a dirty back lane.
8am Sunday morning: very loud works can be heard from the street, like a chainsaw or something.
I wouldn't rush back by any means.

After reading the other reviews for the Boutique Hotel Lumiere our high hopes were dashed when my partner and I recently stayed there for 5 days. The staff are absolutely lovely, very kind and helpful and that is the best part of staying here. The rooms are very basic for a so-called boutique hotel. I do not understand how this hotel is apart of the Best Boutique Hotels group at all. Our room, furniture and floor, was incredibly dusty. The bathroom was clean. The furniture was old and marked. The fittings were modern but they were cheap and overused. The air conditioning was broken in our room, allowing for boiling temperatures at night and then able to see our breath in the air when waking up freezing in the morning. There was a big damp patch on the ceiling, partially concealed by the wardrobe... This is a basic hotel, not a boutique hotel, and for those wanting just that it is a good quiet spot in the center of the city. However, there are better hotels for a better price very close by on much nicer streets. Do not get the breakfast. The bakery were the buffet is, although it is a chain shop, is fantastic and the staff are lovely. I would recommend going there but do note that it costs the same to have the buffet breakfast as it would be to just buy what you want in the morning. The buffet consists of sandwich bits, yogurt, cereals, croissants, filter coffee and orange juice (concentrate). All the fresh coffee and juices are not included in the breakfast.

Located on a pedestrian street right in the city centre. There is a secure underground car park across the road. Modern style with nice room furnishings. Quiet rooms and a good nights sleep.

Breakfast is served in the bakery next door. You buy a voucher at reception and then can eat and drink whatever you want in a nice bakery - novel idea that works.

Hotel is a couple of hundred metres from the main square and a street with dozens of restaurants. Eindhoven is a clean smart city that was livelier than we expected
