Central location was ideal for our 3 night stay. Reception staff would have to be the best we have encountered during our European holiday.Special thanks to Suzie and Remi, for their friendly, help and interest in our holiday.laundry was great.

Room Tip: Junior suite way to go

Staff at the reception is really nice, but I thought the ambience would be more looked after! The room is a big grey square, with an awful mix of old and new furniture, makes it look like they just threw in what they had, without a thought.
Big office style window too, with view on some offices and a dirty back lane.
8am Sunday morning: very loud works can be heard from the street, like a chainsaw or something.
I wouldn't rush back by any means.

After reading the other reviews for the Boutique Hotel Lumiere our high hopes were dashed when my partner and I recently stayed there for 5 days. The staff are absolutely lovely, very kind and helpful and that is the best part of staying here. The rooms are very basic for a so-called boutique hotel. I do not understand how this hotel is apart of the Best Boutique Hotels group at all. Our room, furniture and floor, was incredibly dusty. The bathroom was clean. The furniture was old and marked. The fittings were modern but they were cheap and overused. The air conditioning was broken in our room, allowing for boiling temperatures at night and then able to see our breath in the air when waking up freezing in the morning. There was a big damp patch on the ceiling, partially concealed by the wardrobe... This is a basic hotel, not a boutique hotel, and for those wanting just that it is a good quiet spot in the center of the city. However, there are better hotels for a better price very close by on much nicer streets. Do not get the breakfast. The bakery were the buffet is, although it is a chain shop, is fantastic and the staff are lovely. I would recommend going there but do note that it costs the same to have the buffet breakfast as it would be to just buy what you want in the morning. The buffet consists of sandwich bits, yogurt, cereals, croissants, filter coffee and orange juice (concentrate). All the fresh coffee and juices are not included in the breakfast.

Located on a pedestrian street right in the city centre. There is a secure underground car park across the road. Modern style with nice room furnishings. Quiet rooms and a good nights sleep.

Breakfast is served in the bakery next door. You buy a voucher at reception and then can eat and drink whatever you want in a nice bakery - novel idea that works.

Hotel is a couple of hundred metres from the main square and a street with dozens of restaurants. Eindhoven is a clean smart city that was livelier than we expected

The Boutique Hotel Lumiere is set about a 10 minute walk from Eindhoven station in the middle of the commercial district.

We were happily surprised to be upgraded to a junior suite upon arrival (we didn't ask - it just happened). The reception staff were warm, friendly and efficient.

The room was large, airy and very comfortable. The bed was fairly firm. There was a coffee machine in the room as well as a large selection of tea which was very nice indeed. Didn't notice if there was a mini-bar as I don't really use them.

The bathroom was split in two which was nice as I was there with the other half. One room had the bathtub and toilet and the other the walk in shower and sink. Hot water was plentiful and the water pressure strong. Towels were big and thirsty.

Breakfast was in the bakery next door and well worth the add on 9 Euros. We were offered as much coffee, tea and juice as we wanted, the breakfast buffet with cheese, ham, fruit salad, yoghurt and bread and croissant. You were also offered two bakery items - this made for a big breakfast that was as fresh as you could ask for.

Being in the middle of the pedestrian area there was tons of shopping and lots of choice of bars and restaurants all within a 10 minute walk. The sublime Van Abbe Museum was a ten minute walk away as well.

Unique Inn, within the city centre, close to railway station, and near the best shops and restaurants, on old city tour route, but road and car parking 50 m away. Travelling with two adult children, visiting family.
