“Impressive architecture, not so impressive interior decoration”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2013

I loved the building, but did not like the huge plywood structure that fills the entrance. Too massive and frankly, quite ugly. Pity that such a beautiful area has been filled up with so much wood!
And the exhibiton of pottery was really below par!

“Newly Reopened”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013

The opening was a fun and strange event with men wearing sinks washing your hands as you walked in, and some weird perforative events. It focuses on the 3 areas that are the Dutch artistic "sports"-design, jewelry, and ceramics. It is a very good collection especially of jewelry and ceramics (many of the pieces were made at the local European Ceramic Center Workshop -EKWC-in Den Bosch, not far way). The works are displayed in stacked plexiglass boxes, and while overall it is a stunning effect, it can make the pieces difficult to look at, especially those that are lower down. The Ted Noten exhibit that is there now (for the reopening) was interesting and always nice to see into the mind of an artist, but suffered from a bit of over design (circles on the floor, technology that often didn't work....visited three times). On the ceramics/jewelry floor there are LCD running text displays that are distracting and confusing. However, the work itself makes it worth seeing, and the new wing is beautiful.
