“impressive effort but no originals”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

we travelled about 2 hours to 's-Hertogenbosch, especially to visit the art centre. the entrance is to impressive hall. the stuff are very friendly and knowledgeable. the only disappointment is that there are no originals. only reproductions. but it's worth while and very interesting. unfortunately, we missed the reconstructed workshop, maybe because we were too tired to notice ant signs.

“WORTH A VISIT”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2013

Located in the centre of town in a converted church this is an interesting and interactive tribute to Den Bosch's (arguably) most famous son. Spread over 4 floors there is much to see and do - although access to some areas may prove challenging for those with wheelchairs or walking aids. Regrettably the majority of exhibits were replicas nonetheless they were well arranged and presented. Value for money too!

“Jheronimus Bosch in old church”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013 via mobile

Although there is no single original painting of JB present, the place is well-worth visiting, especially because of the set up and lay-out of the exhibition (all posters).

“Well worth the visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2013

Good focus and audio tour explanation. The models of demons added an amusing touch. Not an in depth analysis of the beliefs and terrors of the time.

“Overwhelming tribute to Dutch genius Jeroen Bosch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

Artist Jeroen Bosch is not as famous as other fellow Dutchmen like Vincent Van Gogh and Rembrandt Van Rijn but to me he's another genius with a very unique style, really mindblowing! He lived in a very dark era when religion ruled and everybody was afraid to go to hell. Many of his paintings shows these anger and his vision of hell, often these paintings look like paranoid schizophrenic visual hallucinations. Well, if you want to experience the art of Jeroen Bosch, this museum (the entrance fee is very friendly) is a must, what an overwhelming tribute, hosted in a church and designed very innovatively and creatively. For me the most exciting element in this museum is the huge hanging weird sculptures, derived from his paintings, you will notice these everywhere! After visiting the groundfloor (featuring lots of different parts, from statues to a huge projection screen), you can take the elevator (or the small staircase) to the fifth floor and then gradually descend to all other floors. On every floor are paintings that take you into the mindblowing world of Jeroen Bosch. If you return to the groundfloor, there is a tavern with a staircase downwards and a cellar with the working place of Jeroen Bosch, very interesting. Not to be missed!
