“Beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

We've seen plenty of churches on our European summer trip, but this was really nice. A must see. Make sure you go to the treasure room.

“Sign of a Rich past”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

I am not an expert on church architecture but the very many churchess in Maastricht indicate a wealthy past. It was also interesting to hear about the way the churches went after the reformation and how they were patroned by the different communities form both sides of the river. The copper jewellry collection is quite interesting.

“a lot of restoration work done, smaller than others in Europe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

There are some excellent photos to be taken both of the brilliant sienna tower and gothic/roman architectural mix outside, but a lot of restoration work had updated the interior which was a little aesthetically disappointing. The copper/enamel/jeweled collection is beautiful but not the greatest in Europe. I spent 40 minutes here but would not recommend you travel especially to see it given the choice of other European historical cathedrals.

“A haven!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

Interesting. A cool haven during a hot and crowded Andre Rieu week-end. Well presented remembering the towns patron saint.
