This should not even be an option, irregardless of your budget or the photos of the one executive suite on their website. The location is not in close proximity to anything - it requires a bus or 45 minute, unexciting walk to town. The hotel was under rennovation, the beds were two singles squeezed together, the shower fell to pieces (no joke) while I was using it, the carpets were stained, the remote control for the TV was broken, just like the phone, the hallways were dimly lit like a prison, and they charge you for a map of the city.
Steer clear of this place. As for Maastricht, it has some charachter, but in in Holland, go to Lieden, or Amelsfort, or Rotterdam for a smaller, more quaint town.
