“Very pleasant stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2012

Spent two nights at this very nice hotel. Very good room; superb comfy bed, complimentary minibar, free wifi, air conditioning. Bathroom on the v small side but perfectly functional. The breakfast was brilliant too. Very friendly staff. Excellent city centre location near the station.

First rate on all categories, service, style, room comfort, cleanliness, but above all, service and hospitality. I would highly recommend this hotel. It is ina very convenient location close to train station. Anyone who does not include the breakfast is really missing out on a fine experience.
The buffet manager there was very attentive and helpful.

Room Tip: Choose a comfort room or better and pay a little more. You will be pleased.

Comfortable hotel, situated in a central area - a bit on the noisy side. Room was big, clean and well decorated although a bit spartian. Bathroom (shower only, no bathtub) in good condition. Excellent breakfast buffet and staff friendly overall. Two major downsides: no air conditioning, so the room was stiffling hot and I had to sleep with the windows kept open. Also my room (like all the rooms on my floor as far as I could judge) had no entry corridor, i.e. no separation between my room and the floor's main corridor apart from the room's door. So the protection from the noise of other guests left a lot to be desired.
Overall to be recommended, but not perfect.

Dear Sir “Vincent H”,

Thank you for your review and your stay in The Beaumont.
Most of our rooms are provided with airco now and in 2013 there will be 12 new superior rooms/suites with inter alia a controlled climate.
Next time we will make sure that you’ll get a nice air conditioned room, we do hope we can welcome you again.

Best regards,

Arrived in Maastricht after a long train journey from southern France and had no idea where we'd spend the night. We walked up the main road from the station and saw several other hotels but none that "grabbed us". However we were drawn to the Beaumont and we weren't disappointed. Generous size room and bathroom, complimentary mini-bar and very helpful staff also helped to make our stay most enjoyable. We didn't go for the in-house breakfast. At €19 per person it's pretty pricey and there are plenty of other eateries nearby.

Dear guest, dear Mr. “Adrian M”,

Thank you for your kind review and staying with us.
Too bad you didn’t try the breakfast buffet. With the special features like freshly milled coffee, fresh orange juice, fried eggs etc. , maybe next time, we do hope we can welcome you again.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2012

We stayed for two nights in May 2012. The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming, offering us a free map, tourist guide and icecream, since it was a hot day.

Our room was small (I actually think we were supposed to have a bigger room, but since we weren't spending much time there we didn't bother complaining), but very clean, modern and nice. Extremely quiet and the only negative thing was that the air conditioner was quite noisy. But we had it on to cool the room while we were out and then just opened the window through the night, and that was fine.

We didn't eat at the restaurant, but it smelled very nice walking past.

The location is excellent. A couple of minutes walk to the train station, and a couple of minutes again to the markets, restaurants and other attractions. For such a central place, it was very quiet.

I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: We had a "medium" room booked and I think we ended up with a small. If this is important t...

The location is perfect. Very nice area, in a quiet part the city center.
We stayed in a comfort room that has an average quality. It was ok but a bit dated and a bit noisy, could hear the neighbors. The breakfast is good! But that's also where you pay for. For this high price I would expect a bit more choice of fresh and home made products like more meats, more pastries choises or more fresh juices instead of packages of well-known brands.
Overall the hotel and staff are very pleasant and would definitely go there again

Dear guest, Dear “Uhm-NL”,

Thank you for your review and staying with us.
I’m sorry to hear the breakfast buffet wasn’t what you have expect from it.
Since March this year, we are f.e. Green Globe certificated.
So, we work as much as possible with local and environmentally friendly products. Such as local fresh apple juice, pastries from the bakery in our street etc. Fresh produce means sometimes a daily assortment.

We are always looking for improvement, many thanks for your feedback
Hopefully we may welcome you again!

Best regards,
Rozien Beaujean - hotelmanager
