all i can say, overrated, grand hotel, yeah right! rooms are 70's, no fridge, no bath, very hot at night, no airco.and, eventhough parking is on their own ground you have to pay for it.the rooms are a hapless, loveless selection of furniture.

Stayed there for 3 days, and, it was disappointing.I don't consider that there is any value for money for this hotel.Having stayed there some years ago, I found a kind of decline..
The rooms are of average size, the bathroom is separated-shower and toilet facilities, there was not a toilet cover-so very disgusting,no toiletries, only soap cases attached to the wall.
As for the positives, the breakfast is good and we had very nice food for dinner. The staff is helpful , the location is good and there is a desktop computer and printer at the lounge free to use, as well as free wifi in the rooms.
In a few words, its an average hotel.

Spent 2 nights here on a business trip.
I must say that this hotel (especially the rooms) have seen better days. "Grand" the rooms are not, very old fashioned and in desperate need of modernisation. Having said that, the room was clean, comfortable, and spacious.
Breakfast was buffet style and there was lots to choose from, hot or cold.
Location is great, 5 minutes walk to the city center with all it's bars, restaurants, and shops.

Very friendly reception staff. Explaining just enough. Restaurant staff is also very friendly. Food is quite ok. Would have been nice to have homemade fries. Good value for money and easy to reach. WiFi without password and for free. Good bar.

When entering the assigned room it was immediately clear that this room was not equipped with the three beds for which we had booked. After phoning reception and a little wait we were assigned to a “suite” with 3 beds in one room and 2 sofas in the other room. It was immediately clear that on at least one bed the linens were not fresh and this bed had been slept in; there was pubic hair on the crumpled bed sheet. After ringing reception we learned that no other room was available and, that due to the fact that no housekeeping is available in the evening, the receptionists!!! will have to come and put the beds right, which they did. We also learned that there was no duty manager available.
Apart from the inexcusable circumstance that at least one slept-in bed (this fact was confirmed by the receptionist who was shown the bed) was offered to new guests, the room and indeed the rest of the hotel did not make for a very nice stay.
There is a general air of negligence surrounding the place. Here only the highlights: In the lobby waiting area a glass table was badly chipped on one corner, a real risk for injury especially to children (photo available). One of the two lifts was out of service without any apologies for the fact. The remaining lift was filthy; at floor level a sharp metal object was protruding towards the feet of passengers (photo available). The floors in the hallways and especially in the staircases were filthy. Dust everywhere in the staircase.
The room itself, a “junior suite”, did nothing, apart from the size, to deserve this name. In the whole of the two rooms there was only one bin (no bin-liner), there were no toilet brushes for the 2 toilets. The cleanliness of the room and especially of the bathroom was dubious at best. The bathtub had to be cleaned by myself before we actually wanted to use it. There were no toiletries or other amenities offered; no minibar, tea maker, complimentary sweets, etc. that I expect in a 4 star hotel. The 2 sofas in the “suite” had also seen better days; the covers were to state it mildly “discoloured”.
All in all, there is no doubt that this hotel does in no way deserve a four star rating and it was appalling to notice that there was actually no effort whatsoever put into the place to make it welcoming for guests. It is very obvious that the revenue comes from coach parties, 3 coaches for the night we stayed.

Stayed here on business because nothing else was available. Place is gross. Very dirty... you won't want to walk on the carpet with your bare feet. The toilet looked and smelled like it hadn't been cleaned in a month. But, the location is great... easy walking to the square with many cafes and restaurants.
