This hotel is in a handy location - right next to the train station (but not made noisy considering that our room backed onto the station) - it is 10/15 minutes walk from the town centre. It is a pleasant modern hotel, rooms a decent size. There was only one hotel we could see slightly nearer the town centre - The Hotel Appollo - looked ok - but mabe slightly less good (at least from outside). Breakfast buffet at the Hotel Mercure decent quality and included hot foods. There's a nice wee bar in town - think it's called the 'blauw hande' just to one side of the old 'de waag' building. Seemed to be lots of good restaurant choice beside the river - just down from De Waag.

If you go for business to Nijmegen. Take this hotel. It is almost inside the trainstation. It is a nice businesshotel. I don't know in the weekend, but I think it will be quite empty. The hotel is about 500 metres from the city centre.

They have a nice fitnessroom.

Just came back from a buisness trip to Holland. Stayed here from 6/14 through 6/18. This is a very clean hotel. The rooms are not very big, as to be expected in European hotels. The AC wasn't that great, but at least they had AC. The room had no iron and ironing board, so I needed to ask the front desk for one. It must be a Euroean thing but I never seem to get a steam iron in Europe?

I did not eat at the restraunt, but it looked nice and clean. The hotel is in a very convienient location right next to the Nijmegen train station. Short walk to downtown, and easy acces from Amsterdam, about 1.5 hr train ride.

Will stay here again on my next trip.
