“Original style for an unforgettable stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2014

We stayed at this hotel twice and chose two different rooms. Every room is decorated differently and designed by a different designer. Room 28 is around the theme Travelling (with old laggage as drawers and hats/caps as decorative wall), room 26 shows the history of dresses (walls are painted around this theme and curtains and pillows show reproductions of old dresses). You'll be surprised by the lift too, with no actual cage so that you can admire the walls and its pictures while you go up/down. The breakfast room is also original in style. If you like a different stay with all comfort you need, I would certainly recommend this hotel.

The hotel has a great resto/ pub/ cafe at the first floor with nice choices of tap beer and whiskey. They have also loads of old books and games.

We stayed in the Mini Berlin room for a night. The room is one of the smallest ones of the hotel but it was very cozy for a 1 night stay.

Breakfast was quite good and the hotel has free wifi which nowadays should be standard but oftentimes is not.

The style of the hotel is particular and has some really awesome elements. The elevator is absolutely amazing!

This is an unusual concept hotel in an unusual neighborhood of Arnhem. Each room was designed by a different fashion designer. The concept is wonderful, because it fits into the trendy fashion district of Arnhem, which began to be developed a few years ago. While the rooms are interesting, they are small and designed more for one person. The flat surfaces are limited, so bring your I-Pad. The only place to sit was the platform bed, which had large pillows and was very comfortable, and the closet and storage space was limited, so plan on wearing jeans and a hoodie. The breakfast was good, but the breakfast room doubled as a meeting room. The idea throughout the hotel was to maximize the use of small spaces. We liked the hotel but it is not for everyone. The cafe that was connected to the hotel was trendy and had a very good ambience.

Room Tip: Each room is different so spend time making your selection on the hotel's Web site.

This is a fantastic little hotel: unique and quirky. The rooms are smallish but perfectly formed and the layout has been well considered. Going up in the lift is an unexpected treat as you will go past hundreds of old pictures of film stars, football teams and volleyball teams from the 1920s onwards.
On arrival we were offered a glass of bubbly: very welcome after a hot train journey from Amsterdam. The staff are brilliantly friendly and helpful: we asked to move rooms because the trains passing on the track outside were a bit noisy in the night (this might not bother other folk at all and some might even like the noise, so don't let that put you off). It was sorted and our luggage moved by the time we came back in from our day out.
Breakfast is good - a wide range and the bacon is amazing.
The icing on an already great cake is the bar downstairs - great beer, a quiet and friendly clientele andapproachable, good humoured barstaff. Get their cheeseboard...worth travelling to Holland for in itself! It was our first time here and we can see ourselves coming back for many years to come. Go: you will love it.

We stayed here for business and was really surprised with the different nature of the hotel.
Every room is different and has some interesting touches!
My room didn't have a desk which I like as I use my laptop for work.
Breakfast was good.

The owner and creative director commissioned different artists to design each room. Ours was a smallish room but designed to make good use of the space with a pale green and black colour palette which worked well. Surprisingly the room feels spacious, not dark and slightly romantic. There are a few quirky features which add to the room's charm and sense of humour. The wet room has a spacious and powerful shower.

The rest of the hotel is equally charming with friendly staff and a delightful cafe next door. Breakfast is served in another originally decorated room with a fashion inspired mural. Breakfast itself is standard continental fare and i would avoid the eggs, but the fresh raspberry and orange juice is very tasty.

Located within easy walking distance of the Arnhem Velperpoort station or 15-20 minutes from the main station, in the up and coming fashion/art quarter, this hotel is worth going slightly off the beaten path.
