“I love this place.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

I have been here several times for the coffee and Maggie's amazing carrot cake. Please stop by to see Maggie and Stuart who will make you feel so welcome. there is also an array of local crafts to purchase just in case you've forgotten to pick them up elsewhere on the Island.

“The Perfect Cafe Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2013

My wife and I saw a flyer for Ellishadder on the notice board at the Old Man of Storr trailhead and decided to give the place a try. The food, service and scenery - including the great art on display - were all absolutely amazing. We'll definitely make a point of eating here again when next we visit Skye.

“Wonderful Ellishadder Art Cafe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2013

We had had a difficult day on Old Man of Storr (weather, mud - cold, wet weather), and it was late in the day when we made our way to Ellishadder Art Cafe. She was SO nice to us, lighting a fire and serving us tea and coffee even though the cafe's closing hour was upon us. We talked art, travel, food and weather. We looked at the art and bought a few items, then headed for our B&B to clean up and get ready for dinner. We plan to return to Isle of Skye (hopefully with better weather), and when we do, I'm looking forward to returning to Ellishadder Art Cafe.

“Do not miss this Skye gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2012

We came here on the last day of our stay on the Isle of Skye. It was right up the road from the cottage we were renting. We had a delicious lunch in a very cosy room with a woodstove. A pretty little princess drew me a lovely drawing while I was waiting for my lunch and a cute cat kept the seats warm for other diners. The propretress grows some of her vegetables and herbs in the garden out in front. Beautifully presented, she garnishes the very generous meals with edible flowers. This gem of a place is a real find not to be missed. You can tell her heart is in her cooking and done with care.

Tip: If you like still lemonade the lemon presse is delicious.

“Wonderful, exceptional service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

We visited the Art Gallery by chance, driving along we saw the signpost and thought we'd give it a go. We were on skye for the first time, although we holiday to scotland anuualy, sometimes more - we love the place and are now planning our move up there. The Ellishadder Art Cafe could not have been more perfect a place to grab a coffee, and possibly the best cafe food ever - in fact, its not just cafe food, its perfect. We sat outside and were greated by the cat, and after a refreshing elder flower cordial, potato cakes and salad, we had a little stroll around the kitchen garden and a chat with the owner, who wasn't only freindly and welcoming but also rather fit (bonus, even if you are married like myself). I wasn't that taken by Skye, but i'd definately visit again if not just for that fab food!!
