I came back to write a review and was sorry to see that other people had had a bad experience, and think perhaps its a bit unfair as we had 3 courses and all food was superb. We loved the family run vibe and the fact that there are pets and friendly faces and freshly baked bread. Compared with the mediocre pub grub available in the area it is really special. It seemed that they also provide accommodation and have some converted red wagons out back for sleeping in, but we only passed through for a meal and were very happy. I had the baked hake with parmesan crust and gorgeous salad with nectarines and organic veg, and my partner had a quinoa and veg bake and he enjoyed it very much. Im not sure what the other diners got for their apparent small starters but they were lovely - grilled artichokes and grilled onions and salad, and homemade organic hummous. Delicious !!
