This is a great place to get an excellent Indian dinner when you are in Zurich. The location is convenient in the sense that it is within walking distance of the train station. The restaurant exterior was typically European and blended with the neighborhood. The interior was suitably tasteful with a muted, warm décor that provided a relaxing atmosphere. The tables were quite adequately spaced to allow a quiet dining experience. The service was very good on the night I was there as I was attended to quite quickly. The menu was quite typical for an Indian establishment but there were certainly plenty of choices. I chose to start with the Mulligatawny soup as that is a favorite of mine to sample at Indian places. This preparation was a bit creamy making it richer than most. It actually had a very good taste. For my main, I had the chicken curry. The curry was very nicely prepared and adequately spiced. The chicken itself was outstanding, though, as it was beautifully tender and juicy. To finish, I had the masala chai which was the only thing that was a bit of a disappointment as it was simply steeped spiced tea that was not prepared Indian style (no added milk!). It tasted fine but was not what I was hoping to have. The prices at this place were typical of Zurich. Though the bill was very expensive, I thought the value was actually very good considering the location. I would recommend giving this place a try if you fancy Indian.
