“Excellent Service in best location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We stayed here in May (room 315 facing courtyard) for a weekend. The location is perfect; a very short walk from the station (with a very regular 10 minute rides to the airport) and in the middle of the old Town surrounded by small boutiques, restaurants (including their own very good Swiss Chucki) and bars. It is about a 5-10 minute walk to the famous Bahnhofstrasse and to the beautiful lake.
The hotel is good, the rooms are clean and quiet (considering the location!) have decent internet, it provides a public PC with printer, no fear to get charged or every small service. Just perfect! Breakfast is extensive, everything we wanted was available.
I recommend exploring the small alleys on this side of the river, visit the lindenhof and play some chess outside, walk along the lake and take a boat ride back and visit the Kunsthaus near the hotel. Still lots to see for us. We will definately stay at this hotel again next time we come to Zurich. HIGHLY recommened.

Room Tip: noise was not an issue but courtyard rooms possibly quieter.

Such a lovely hotel filled with character. The Old Town location is excellent and only a short tram or taxi ride from the train station. The river, many shops and restaurants are very close by.
There is a wonderful Swiss restaurant downstairs and the hotel has free wifi.

Room Tip: Choose a room on a higher level.

Excellent hotel, location is perfect in Zurich Old Town. Everything is accessible by walking distance. It is very close to Limmat river (nearly 20 metres) and takes 5 minutes from central station by tram. I went from airport to central station by metro, then by tram to the hotel. The room was super comfortable and clean, nice sized bathroom too. The view from the window was wonderful. The breakfast buffet had a good selection of fresh food. The free computer was greatly helpful. The Staff was really helpful in every way and very nice. I will return.

Staying in April with 11 family members. We chose this hotel for it's value in the old town walking district. Rooms are small, clean and a bit dated in decoration but if that is not a deal breaker, you'll love this place. The location is wonderful. Many great restaurants, bars, interesting shops and a short walk to the river. Our room (202) overlooked the square which is quite an active and noisy place but the windows, once shut, blocked out all the noise.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast average. As mentioned in the reviews, the restaurant is supposedly famous for their fondue. We tried and though it was pretty good but a bit pricey. Overall, would return.

Room Tip: 102, 202, 302 face the square and are a bit larger with great people watching.

The Adler is a lovely small hotel in old town Zurich. The rooms ere not large but very clean, comfortable, & efficient.... typical Swiss. The staff were very friendly and helpful at meeting all our needs and questions. The buffet breakfast in the restaurant was delicious with lots of choices.
We often came back to the restaurant for a final glass of wine after an evening out. Being in Old Town and just across from the train station there were lots of restaurants and lots of shopping. Also we were only a short walk from a couple museums.

Room Tip: Our room looked over a back courtyard and was very quiet.

I spent 3 days between Xmas and new Eve in Zurich last winter. The hotel is convinently situated in the heart of the old town.
Rooms are nicely decorated with paintings from vue of the town and contain all you need !
Since the hotel has a restaurant at the bottom, it is better to make a reservation for a room in the uppest floors.
The restaurant is very good too, in case you want to try local specialities : fondue (cheese).

I recommend this hotel

Not only does this hotel have a FABULOUS location, the SERVICE is EXCELLENT! From the time I booked the hotel to the check-out, they couldn't have been more kind, patient, knowledgeable, and helpful! We were a small, family group with 5 rooms! Rooms were nice, not huge, but spotlessly clean with lots of extras.....like a frig stocked with refreshments that were included! And windows that OPENED! And neat views from every room.

I arrived early and asked to leave my luggage, and they actually gave me my room early.....no extra charge.

Breakfast included was excellent. Staff was fabulous. Thought the hotel was a bit pricey, but it was definitely WORTH it!
