We only spent 2 nights at Hotel Adler during our travels across Switzerland, but could very happily have stayed for much longer! Beautifully located in charming old Zurich town and surrounded by many cafes, bars and boutique shops, the hotel is in an ideal area yet still less than a 10 minute stroll along the river to Zurich train station. From the outside the hotel's appearance is deceptively dull, but don't be fooled because once inside that perception immediately vanishes. The rooms have been comfortably and tastefully modernized and offer good space and facilities. Although our room didn't have a kettle as standard, one was promptly available at my request, and staff were very helpful ans accommodating at all times. An absolute bonus for us was discovering the wonderful onsite restaurant which served traditional Swiss food which was truly delicious. The restaurant was also used for breakfast in the mornings, and this too was very good. On our last morning we needed to depart very early so a packed breakfast was even supplied for us to take with us, which we really appreciated. I have no hesitation in recommending Hotel Adler to anyone looking for great affordable accommodation in Zurich.
