I have stayed frequently at the Zum Storchen, Zurich since the mid 1970s and there is simply no other place to stay!
The staff are the friendliest, and whenever I arrive they remember me! The location of the Zum Storchen can't be beat; a great shopping district, Bahnhof Str. and Rennweg with superb restaurants are within easy walking distance. The entire central Zurich area is easily navigated by the trams along the Limmat river and along Bahnhofstrasse. The Niederdorf entertainment district is an easy walk from the Storchen just across the river. I know that I can always count on a personal greeting from Gennaro and Ishak at the front desk and also from Helma in the Storchen Bar.

This is my third stay at this hotel and the service and attention to details has been consistently excellent. However, this was the first time for my wife and I wanted to impress her. Storchum was able to oblige me. They found us a great little cosy restaurant nearby - exactly what we wanted. After each long day of exporing Zurich the central location of the hotel was a pleasure. As always their breakfast is top quality and with one of the best views in town. Of course I let my wife have the seat with the view down the river toards Lake Zurich and the mountains beyond. Hotel Storchen was again the anchor of a great experience in a great city.

I stayed at the Hotel Zum Storchen and was very pleased with my decision. The hotel is on the Limmat, a river in the city, and is walking distance, about four blocks or a short tram ride away from the main train station, the Bahnhof and the old part of the city. If you ever get lost, just look for the church which was built in 1732, it is lit up at night. They don't use swipe cards for the rooms, but give a key on a huge key chain and ask you to turn it in when you leave. The front desk is manned 24/7 and the staff is very helpful. The cleaning staff will clean your room at least twice a day. It is definetely the best hotel for business travellers.

The location of this hotel couldn't be any better, walking distance to all things interesting in the city. Our room was very spacious and impeccably maintained. The breakfast/dining room is magnificent and overlooks the river, the old town and the mountains. The service was perfect and the staff throughout all departments is very friendly and knowledgable, so much so that we didn't want to leave after our four night stay at the end of January! I hope we have the opportunity to come back and will gladly recommend this hotel to others.
